I don't really see why it matters if he's getting battered against the ropes as opposed to being in the middle of the ring. Valuev threw next to no punches in his last two outings. I don't understand why you think he wouldn't just stand there. Against much smaller opponents, and in the case of Holyfield, an opponent who is not a top ten boxer and past his prime, Valuev threw about 10 punches a round, with about nine of them being jabs. Why would he suddenly spring into action against the two best heavyweights in the world, who would also happen to be two of the biggest opponents he has faced.
