Lee beat Mckay on points. Barker stopped him in the sixth. Basing it on boxing ability I don't understand how you could say Lee is superior.... Barker is quicker, more precise and would have Lee out of there inside twelve rounds.

I reckon Barker would beat Lee quite handily. He should win this title with something to spare and then hopefully step up the level of comp as the year goes on.

I think you will find that McKay retired in the 6th against Andy Lee, the exact same as Barker.

Fair enough my mistake! Well if you have watched the both (which you probs have) then you should clearly see Barker's the better boxer.

And I don't think Lee has been down in his career.

Only one way to find out. Barker will beat Belghecam, first defense should be Lee if he declares an interest in the fight, going by slapbangs quote earlier, he seems to fancy facing Barker.

Do you think that he showed a lack of desire in that fight?

no but he let himself get dragged in to a slugfest against vera if hed have boxed it would of been a easy nights work for him, barker has matured a lot as a fighter and think he'd use his better boxing brain to beat lee

Stunning news for Barker! :TU: :box: I hope he keeps hold of the British title and tries to win the Lonsdale belt outright too.

All of sudden Barker's career has taken a sharp incline, now it's time for Darren to do his bit and grab the EBU title with both hands.

It gets more brainless and brainless in here - you two should be banished to the Current Scene forum.

A. Did you see the Vera-Lee fight?

B. Vera is not much but better than anything Barker has faced.

No need to be sorry big man, we all have our opinions. But only one of us is right! :D

'people' as in Manny Steward. Lee thought he had beaten Vera before he got into the ring. He wasnt focused and had a lot of furshizzle going on outside the ring at the time.

Since then. More to follow after I put this article together this weekend. :TU:
