i feel groves is getting some bad sh1t on here, people seem to be treating him like he is a complete gobshite like anthony small, but george is just talking the talk, and hoping to back up his jibes in the ring...
he is hardly stating that he could beat a peak ray leonard, hagler or hearns is he.... he has said he thinks he will KO smigga !!
George Groves is a class boxer who could possibly use Smigga and his pal Jaffa for sparring partners at a later date.

Does Groves have the same amount to heart and grit that Smigga had against Dodson. A horrible cut in the FIRST round and also the fourth. Could he come back after having is game plan basically thrown out of the window. His determination to continue and win was fantastic. For that reason I dont think Groves could beat Smigga.

Class will tell - you go on about Smigga's strengths but yet fail to acknowledge Groves - Smigga has yet to prove himself beyond reasonable doubt on the "DOMESTIC" stage - Groves is a class above in my view but I will acknowledge he too has yet to prove himself but using Smigga as a stepping stone is a move in the right direction in my view.

Smigga is the CURRENT British Champ and has defended his title against tough, tough opponents in Quigley and Dodson. He was robbed in his only defeat and is ready for a Euro title shot against Magee. I dont think that Groves is ready for that much of a step up. Smigga would win imo.

Groves seems to be massively over-rated by many. He's sharp and getting great sparring but beating Adamu will prove nothing.
Golden Era coming up for the super middles with Paul Smith, Brian Magee, Kenny Anderson, Groves, Degale and Jeffries. What a shame Sutherland isn't still here too.
Regardless good times ahead, each has there own stengths and weaknesses and no amount of talking will ell us whose the best... only fighting.

I've liked how groves has gone about his career thus far but saying things like ''All Smith is going to do is hold and bore people to death.'' seems a little bit out of character for him and sounds like something much more likely to come from the mouth of david haye imo
He should leave the juvenile talk to that jafaican clown degale....and then knock him out when the chance presents itself.

Bless your cotton socks - if I were petty I could counter your argument by stating in my opinion all Smigga has done is prove himself as the Champion of Liverpool!!!

Listen im not going to cave in here, and neither are you. All im going to say is that Smigga is the British Super middleweight champ, and until some one takes that away from him, or until he vacates it. Then he is the best in the country. Groves and Degale are not ready for the challenge (there is such thing as pushing your fighters to fast).

Remember bein in Poland with Groves a few years back when he had a war with some polish bum who Degale outclassed a few weeks earlier...came home with a broken jaw! Soon as someone takes what he gives he will come unstuck, cant wait!
Who is the Polish bum?
I am looking at Degale's record and Groves' record, but they don't have any common opponents.
Was this in the amateur ranks?

its 7/1 on ladbrokes just now for groves to beat adamu by decision/technical decision. have to go to round group betting to get it. must be an error, still put a few quid on it anyway!

Yes,it will have been in the am's,and $wifty was probably on the same team,so knows what he is talking about.Nobody is trying to say George isnt a decent prospect, but he should just have a lot more respect for somebody whose achievements far surpass what he has done.

Come on spud he hasn't proved him self champion of Liverpool just yet one more to go but that's for another day
the fact is groves has no where proved he is ready for that sort of challange Paul. He stopped Paul sammuels which everyone was going on about but the fact is the ref jumped in for now reason sammuels took a couple but was deffending poor reffing I. My eyes. When he beats adamu which I think he will pts or ref jumping in to early again then he's got to get in with me that's the deal. I think he is trying to make a name for himself of the back of other people an needs to get In line. Me an Paul dnt always see eye to eye on ere but everyones right he showed grit an determination against dodson an I. That sort of fight I think groves would fold again intitaled to an opinion but to merley mock some one isn't right and respectfully
