I hope Jamie will come on here and let us know he is ok - whether retired or not, thats the main thing - hopefully he does not have a long term problem and it is just a matter of resting up and/or moving up (although I agree with the people who say he is not a 168lb fighter). Fighting on or not, he has paid his dues in there more than once.

I thought that was poor from Moore last night, he was ahead and with only a few rounds to go, he should have battled through to get the W and then readdressed the weight issue next fight. He's had some desparate luck over his career, he deserves a better finish to his career than this.

That is very easy to say whilst sat at your pc fatman.
There is no dog in Jamie Moore - his corner made the right decision in pulling him out - they know him best and knew he wasnt right in there.
This way, after a career filled with pulsating battles, Jamie can rest up and decide what to do with his career next.
If he decides to call it a day I hope he turns to training and passes on his skills and technique to the next generation of fighters.

Moore has provided fans with many wars, I hope he can find out what the problem is, address it and come back stronger, he's a very good fighter who still has more to give.

moore didn't look like moore - the hair, the build, the boxing. it wasn't his night. i hoped that he'd be back to himself up at middleweight, but maybe those gruelling fights have been too much. you see guys like castillo, corrales, who have been in gruelling fights. they're not the same after, they struggle even more mightily making the weight.
moore's had some amazing fights - michael jones 3, macklin, and the loss to rhodes. he won british, commonwealth and european titles with some quality performances. i feel his best are the clinical, controlled aggressive displays vs michael jones 1, dave walker, piccirillo and roman dzuman. he did earn a world top 10 spot even in ring mag, so he should be acknowledged as a world class fighter.
i think he didn't get the opportunity maybe when he could have taken advantage of it; and he seemed to get stuck on the british scene too long, when he wanted to move on up. injuries, opponents dithering (baysangurov), the jones DQ. little things can set a fighter back, and someone with an offensive style of fighting like moore maybe needed it sooner.
massive respect to moore. where would british boxing be without fighters like him. you get some right dismal domestic and euro title fights. let's hope jamie moore has got enough out of boxing compared to what he has given, and let's wish him success whatever he chooses to do.

no it isn't mate, i'm gutted that he lost like that, i am a big fan of his. when the dust settles the difference between a W and L on his record is massive.
i bet he wishes that he could get back in there today. i know Harrison was looking atfer him but maybe he knows him a bit too well to pull him out after one bad round. i think that there are some fights left in Mooresy, he seems to be having a hard time psychologically, making 154 was obviously killing him and by the sounds of it he struggled again to come down to 160 (or 163) which must have been a blow to him. And of course it must be so hard for a fighter of his class to motivate himself against someone like Khomitski.
I don't know whats next for him, maybe try at 168lbs - he doesnt seem that much smaller that someone like Paul Smith.

It's a shame that he didn't manage to get a big fight when he was in his prime. He definitely looked like he had nothing left last night. If it was just an off night then fair enough and hopefully he can rebound, but on the basis of what we saw it looks like he should retire. He will always have the respect of the fans either way.

I really mean it when I say Jamie Moore gave me some of the greatest nights Ive had as a boxing fan, the Macklin fight will always be particularly memorable and I'll watch it again and again over the years. Whatever you do Jamie, your head should be held way up high. You have proven time and again that you are a warrior and its been a pleasure supporting through your career.

I think every one has respect for Moore, I'm from Salford my self, so Ive always watched all his fights and he's been in some crackers, he's a great fighter who should be very proud of what he has achieved. It might be time to call it a day know though, he's been in some wars and that fella he fought last night wouldn't have had a chance two years ago. Good luck what ever you do!

I think when he mentions respect he's not referring to proper fans, he maybe talking about the mainstream public, and the fact that despite his success and watchability he's not got the big purses that his talent and heart deserved, which is a shame.
But I agree with what another poster put about him making a good pundit

I'd love him to get a payday and quit.
He bloody deserves it.

x2.
If he is to go, that was a lovely interview after the fight. Touching, honourable & respectful. Good lad, best of luck to him whatever he chooses to do.

He's not on his own there though. Loads of boxers can say that. Unfortunately injuries and to much waiting around have cost him dearly. The fact of the matter is unless your signed with FW, your unlikely to get a big fight without taking the long road in this country. Lack of time and motivation then come into play and lot's of British fighters fail to reach their potential, because of this.

Moore needs a year out, a bloody long holiday and then to come back at middle/super middle and give it one last shot, get a couple of decent paydays - which he deserves - and then retire.
He is a superb boxer and last night was heartbreaking.
His attitude has always been refreshing and I know he won't like me saying this, because he doesn't make excuses and is a breath of fresh air, BUT he has got to be one of the unluckiest fighters we've produced...
Anyone who saw the second Jones fight and the Duran fight surely agrees..

Only saw the first few rounds of the fight so won't comment on the result. Best of luck to Jamie and thanks for some great fights so far.

For me --- Theres another chapter to be told, another moment to savour. Regroup, have a break, and blast back like I KNOW you can. Jamie Moore aint seen the last of boxing - i hope and pray.

My thoughts exactly, I'm sure Jamie can turn this round. This was his first fight at the new weight coming back from a stoppage loss after a 6 month lay off. For the keyboard warrior who said Jamie should have fought through to get the win, Jamie didn't give up he was pulled out by Oliver who is a world class trainer and corner man who knows his fighters. Oliver has been in world title Mauy Thai fights and he has been around combat sports long enough to see people get hurt beyond repair. Money and career is the last thing on any good corner man's mind when a fighter is hurt

it is a shame he never got a good cash in fight in, say, ireland, vs duddy or lee.
i think ppl are out of order saying moore should have jumped straight into a darren barker fight.
it was a depressing night of boxing. lynes puking up and then moore looking terribly out of sorts. it's a shame this happened to moore on a PPV undercard that many ppl may have seen. a show than non boxing fans may have tuned in to. i hate saying this but you need TV money to make a good living and it'll be hard for jamie moore to get the sky FFN main events after what happened. i will still be rooting for him, though.
i hope fighters don't start wanting to fight him all of a sudden and take advantage of what happened to moore last night.
i think moore is a bit small for super middleweight.

One point, of course, which people do not tend to focus on- credit is due to the efforts of his opponent (something I failed to acknowledge before the fight.)
Of course, we want the English fighter to win, but it's good to see an opponent come and actually put up such a good effort- many of these "foreign fly ins" fail to.
A rematch is unlikely, but none the less, I hope Khomitski gets more work over here now - I felt he gave a very game and professional performance, against a quality British fighter. Khomitski was, without question, fighting to win- which makes for a good fight.
Credit due to all invloved- Moore's reaction after the fight was very dignified.
Hope that Moore continues, and I can see him doing so successfully.
