I'm just trying to help you learn about what you're talking about. every time somebody in this forum gives you a bit of a history lesson you always resort to your name calling and assuming people are upset. You're really overrating your meaning in my life.

Obviously you're not interested in learning and that's your prerogative. But don't turn it on me because you highlighted the result of a fight when you had no idea what actually happened in it.

This site is a wonderful tool for everyone. But don't consider yourself an expert on a fighter after a 2 minute scan of their results.

Serious question, how am I supposed to take your opinion seriously when you're referencing fights that you haven't even read about? that's beyond actually watching the fight, you've never read a word about what happened in Elorde/Saddler 2 and then you bring it up as a slight on his record. That's pathetic.

you know what's pathetic? is that whenever i say something not pleasing to you about some fighters you right away think i have a certain "agenda". in this case, i was saying i thought elorde was a weak HOFer as compared to other HOFers and you right away attacked me, saying i hated filipinos blah blah blah. listen, i know you may have "special" feelings for them but it does not mean i can't state my opinions about some filipino boxers, mexican boxers, black boxers etc...get my drift? don't get too sensitive for filipinos. i'm not slamming them, i am just saying what i believe. again, he was a very good champion and all that but for the amount of accolades he gets from obviously you and others on this forum, he just doesn't rank up with the very best HOFers.

The amount of accolades flash gets from me? I'd be willing to bet I've never written a paragraph about him on this forum prior to today. And while you're entitled to your opinion, it's based off of nothing.

Why don't you just admit that you looked at his record on the forum and saw twenty some losses and decided he was overrated? You've never seen him fight a round.

Who said he ranked as the best HOFers? He just isn't one of the three worst. And with all of your back and forth here. How come you can't answer my question about you commenting on a fight that you've never even read about?

And for the record I think Flash Elorde was as good as they come and fully belongs in the IBHOF. Yes he did lose some fights at the beginning of his career but that was quite common in those days. Sandler did lose a few fights too at the beginning of his career. What about Henry Armstrong? He too lost quite a few fights at the beginning of his career, but yet many people rank him in the top 5 all-time p4p fighter. Does Henry Armstrong belongs in the IBHOF?

Why did you choose to comment on a fight you've never even read about? What's so difficult about this question for you? Not even joking, why can't you answer it? I understand that it renders your entire stance on Elorde stupid. But I'd like to hear the rationale behind it.

And FYI, Elorde was unquestionably more accomplished than Cuevas. Yet you became typically irate that he was mentioned.

The lowpoint for Milly was his attempt a few months back to convince us he was around fifty years of age --- as though his posts don't reveal him for the 14-year-old he is. LOL.

However, I see he is still trying to stoop to new depths. Good luck to him, I say.

I'm very interested in hearing why someone would mention a fight without even reading about it. That is a new low. That may have been the worst foul fest I've ever seen. Certainly would have to be the least impressive "knock out" in history.

Using A through F as a scale between IBHOF:

I would rank Elorde as a solid B – or B

I would rank Cuevas a C – or C

I think milmascars judgment is really clouded in here. His bias is taking the best of him and it’s not letting him see the true. Cuevas greatest attribute was his power; Elorde on the other hand was a skillful fighter that did not need to rely only on his power.

I grew up as a fan of Cuevas. Fun fighter to watch, his best win is over harold Weston. I wouldn't put him in the bottom three, but I wouldn't vote for him either.

Elorde deserves his spot under any criteria.
