Sadly, Big Bob is trying to avoid making the big decision to retire:

He only holds his NSW licence as a special case. Time for it to be revoked to protect Bob from himself.

You know i respect bob and all, but the way he carry's on with this 1 more fight crap you'd think he was a ex champ trying to regain his glory.
Big Bob had a tonne of heart, but lacked all the other skills to become anything other than a domestic fighter, yeah he talked up his fights like they were the talking point of Aus boxing, but if anything it was a novelty to see him fight and win.
Someone needs to help this bloke, and stop him before he hurts himself seriously, and before he hurts the sport, when you fall like a tree on your face, out of shape and 44 years old......it's time.
People should stop encouraging him.

Mirovic is a resident of New South Wales. The only licence he holds is issued by the NSW authority. You do not need a licence from every state you fight in.

BOB Mirovic looks set for a showdown with NSW boxing officials after vowing to undertake a CAT scan "and whatever else it takes" to remain in the fight game.
Sport Confidential can reveal that Mirovic, now 44 and winless in his past three heavyweight bouts, is back in the gym despite being iced in the opening round of his stink with rising Queenslander Alex Leapai on the Gold Coast last Thursday.
The three-time Australian heavyweight champion is now under serious pressure to retire after Leapai dropped him in the opening exchanges and then, with only seconds remaining in the first round, KO'd the popular Central Coast fighter with a thumping right.
"So I'm expecting officials to ask me to undergo a CAT scan," concedes Big Bob, for years regarded as the toughest hombre in our heavyweight ranks. "But I've had a couple of days to have a real long think about things and am determined to get myself in the best possible shape, both mentally and physically, to have another fight.
"If then I go no good, yeah, I'll call it a day."

big bob has done his bit, nothin left to prove, if he dosent retire he's being a bit silly,it will be all downhill from here. retire now and be remembered for the good times, keep fighting & he will be remembered for his last few losses

Remember when he was once touted as a Tyson opponent? I guess it was around the time of Tyson's fights with Williams or McBride. I wouldn't have given Bob a bad chance of winning that at the time. He was still capable, Tyson was on a steep decline, and if Bob could soak up the early bombs and then make full use of his weight, as both those guys did...

Big Bob still doesn't want to hear the "R" word based upon this piece of piffle in today's Telegraph:
OUTSPOKEN heavyweight Alex Leapai should expect a phone call this week after suggesting "there isn't a fighter in Australia who will challenge me"
Big Bob Mirovic, who Leapai iced in the opening round of his last fight, says he will happily square off against the 102kg slugger again. "Because Alex got lucky against me," Mirovic says.
"I'd spent the lead-up to that bout sparring a close mate of mine, a guy I've known 10 years, which was a mistake. I never went hard enough in training and it cost me when Alex caught me early. He says there isn't a heavyweight who'll fight him but I'll do it tomorrow."
Bob, give up this attention seeking BS before you get sectioned!

Bob is too stubborn for his own good.
He is a warrior, no doubt about it, but c'mon mate, you fight Lepai again if you're lucky the KO mightn't be until the 2nd round this time.
Someone really, really needs to tell him to stop or if it means this, his license revoked.
