At the right time... what a tournament that would've been.

It's difficult to gauge fighters from different eras, I certainly wouldn't rate the current crop below the 90s pack.

Calzaghe's about the only linking factor, outclassing a game but past it Eubank, .
I wouldnt say that Eubanks was past it.
He had had a long rest and was active again. Dont forget Calzaghe was shocked at the end of the 12 rounds with a huge right hander. Calzaghe always said it was his hardest fight. Eubanks took the fight at 2 weeks notice and had to suddenly lose 7 lbs as he was due to fight for the british LH title. Eubanks was weight drained.

eubank became past it as soon as he put watson in a coma likewise with Benn after McClelland - neither benn or eubank were ever the same fighters again. Infact eubank quite openly started allowing opponents to recover when he had them rocked.
