Duddy did tentatively fancy a Rhodes fight - but at Middle.
As everyone has said, Rhodes is staying at Light Middle, and these two can't do that weight.

Hunky Dory are a quality crisp with some quality advertisement http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/ire ... 21337.html , I certainly haven't been able to find a crinkled crisp to match it in Sasanch.

Duddy would beat Belghecham, the Frenchman would give away the majority of the opening 6 rounds like he did against Barker and Lee and in a 10 rounder Duddy wouldn't have to do much more to win the decision. Duddy's a superior fighter to him aswell, Belghecham was regarded as shite till Barker put in a terrible display against him.

Duddy vs Chavez could go either way, and neither man will dethrone Martinez, but it should be an interesting fight and hopefully a war. So lets just enjoy it for what it is and not take the approach of 'if you're a boxing fan and not Irish you must hate John Duddy' which seems to have become very popular. At the very least I'd hope people would root against the drugs cheat.

i don't really rate duddy or chavez jr. but maybe they will put on the kind of figth that everyone just has to watch. you know, like the micky ward-shea neary type of stuff. if so, they will get loads more fans, no one will care if they're not world class, and they can certainly make money in a rematch. i thnk both have been in with some sub par opponents, in some fairly cynical fights.

maybe when i see lee-belgecham, i might change my mind about duddy-belgecham. i saw the barker fight and felt he pressure barker enough to win, having barker flailing with those half hearted right hands. it was a fab fight, and i'd like to see belgecham in with some more crowd pleaser types.

I havent really got a problem with him - I just dont think he is half as good as his ball licking British fans think he is. My point all along was that Barker is only as good as Lee or Duddy - when I said this pre Belgacham I was laughed off every British thread - every since he got the pasting of a lifetime they havent been so sure. I actually wouldn't mind watching this fight. It's two guys with more backing/fanbase than ability, but that doesn't mean it's not worth watching. I don't rate either of them, in 'world class' terms, but it could be a good scrap.

It should be an undercard fight though, lets be honest. They've both been fighting guys well beneath them on other fighters undercards for long enough.

In my opinion both are totally over-rated, media hype jobs. I think Duddy is slightly better and I reckon he'll get a close decision.

A. Who over-rates Duddy?

B. Who hypes Duddy?

I read that comment everywhere so it should be an easy answer!

I think Duddy is under-rated. Everyone seems to think he's crap, but he's not that bad.

Both Duddy and JCS are far from overrated, over mentioned is more like it. They probably receive a lot more attention and money than other fighters with their ability get, but they are not terrible fighters. Like you said, pretty much everyone thinks they are jokes that pose no serious threat to any top fighter.

This will probably be a very good fight.

Duddy seems like a top bloke and he's always great to watch, good luck to him in this one .
