Mercer and McCall are the top two. I would put Razor Ruddock high on the list for the two fights he gave a near peak Tyson, especially the second fight when he saw the final bell with a broken jaw. Razor was never the same after the two fights with Tyson

Poor, brave Akinwande is yet to receive a single nomination.

Lest we forget his epic courage against the likes of Lennox Lewis, Oliver McCall, & Orlin Norris. He sacrificed so much, so we could be entertained so greatly.

I voted for Zeljko Mavrovic. I remember reading a blurb where Lewis stated he was the toughest (not best) opponent he had at the time. Please don't ask me to site my source since I really can't remember.

Lennox fought the majority of those guys on the list so I would take his word for who was the toughest of that bunch.

Mavrovic did push Lewis hard, but; he never had the combos of Mercer.
