Richard Schaeffer said Hopkins should retire and he would have to discuss with Hopkins about working with him again (if Hopkins continued to remain adamant about continuing). However, money talks at the end of the day. I remember similar compassionate comments being said by a promoter about Danny Williams.

I don't think Hopkins is tied to GBP, but that doesn't mean he won't be again if the money is agreeable.
