No, I think it's an oversight on their part. Have a look at some of the alphabet boys' rankings (Blue has posted a link above). They're good for a laugh.

tackie is low because he has lost his last two fight i would imagine, if he won against someone half decent he would be back up in there,

Yes, they did. But for the WBC to rate Glencoffe Johnson in their top ten and not Woods, when the two have just drawn, underlines the ludicrousy of their decision. It's acting like Woods has died or something.
It's interesting to see Hatton still in their top 10. The WBC offered him a final eliminator with Urkal and Warren went for a fight with Tackie instead. What's to bet Hatton soon dies as well!

No, cause that usually results in a rise in the rankings. Its happened on a few occasions. Once last year (can't remember the fighters name) and once to the Pedro Alcazzar who died shortly after his fight with Fernando Montiel. He stayed in the top ten two months after he died. The other fighter continued to RISE some 6 months after he died - dispite major sites like Fightnews say in bold letters that the poor lad had died.

Yes, their have been serveral instances of fighter's rated after they had died. I recall Eleoncio Mercedes, who lost his WBC flyweight title to Charlie Magri here and was later shot dead in a road rage incident, being rated by the alphabet boys for years after his death. It's no wonder the Independent World Boxing Rankings took off like it did.
