As for Frankie - I truly believe he is just below Kell Brook in my view with regards to being the top prospect in this country - although I hope Liam Cameron soon appears in the frame.

Good luck with your career!! :TU:

Not even a question.. Loyalty comes with the territory... :TU:
I hope your not loyal to Fwank when the time comes.

Better dash them hopes mate.. I do right by people who do right by me and without doubt Frank has done right by me and helped me an awful lot.. :TU:

As for the stoppage with Frankie, I feel for Frankie but the ref was right cos if you look at the stoppage then you'll see that Tait just ain't hitting back!! :shame:

Spud wrote:Dont know about you lot - but the skinny lad from Birmingham - Frankie Gavin - for me has been very impressive since his professional debut.

What do you guys think of his progress so far??

Do you rate the lad?

At this early stage do you think he is the top prospect we have in the country??
Love him, not watched much boxing this past six months but thoroughly enjoyed seeing Gavin what menacing little fkker he is.

I guess we can look forward to lot's of meaningless WBO title defenses then if you develop enough to make it onto the world stage. I'm not trying to be a d**k, but that's just the way it will be. I just have no faith in Fwank's ability or willingness to constantly make good tough fights. It's just not the way he does it. For every good matchup there will be 4 or 5 bad ones.

Have faith mate he's done that with fighters who wanna pursue that avenue. Good for the fans I don't want that avenue. Still though he is my manager and promoter and along with him Dean and Arnie they will always have the say on who I fight.. We are at the end of the day a team and I will always listen to the ones far more knowledgable in the game than I..With saying this it's a long road and no point in getting carried away with it when I ain't even won the british or beat a top fighter yet.. :TU:

He's certainly a very strong and impressive fighter- and like De Gale and Saunders, he does seem to have some real ability.

The acid tests will come later- how soon really depends on the promotional routes they are taken down.

Cut again in last Saturdays fight, is that going to be a weak point for Frankie?

It's a worry, or at least it could be. Didn't hold Hatton back though, I guess.

quite true, i'm guessing that Frankie would have a top cutsman in the corner. In a longer fight it may become a problem, have to wait and see what happens.

If he can get Mick Williamson, I'd back him to be fine. Mick is great, I only really appreciate him when I'm watching some other cutsman make a pigs arse of a cut.

That's not actually a great image, now I think about it.

To be fair there always head clashes, He'll start to adapt to it now he knows that fighters are leading into him head first.. Also Dean Powell is a brilliant cutsman.. He did a fantastic job on Frankie's second fight he really did.. :TU:

yeah its strange how cuts go, some boxers just don't seem to get them, even in rough fights, but some other boxer's people are just waiting for the cuts to appear.

I still think the cut rule needs to change over here, but thats probably been discussed to death by us.
Who next for Frankie? He needs a challenge,

Michael Grant or Dean Harrison?
