Whether you like Floyd or not, I don't see what people's problem with random testing is, its a good thing for the sport and should be done for all world title bouts to protect the fighters. Random testing is the best way to catch cheats, we know most fighters get away with cheating today
Mayweather needs to get Manny in the ring, it should be an easy fight stylistically imo - a midget that likes to fight at mid range with little defense and wide open for counters = Mayweather's bread and butter
Yes, but since when does a fighter get to dictate the drug testing methods used prior to a bout?
I have my doubts about Pacquaio - but then I have my doubts about most top flight boxers. As someone else said, Floyd started around featherweight, and has fought at 154 - so what's the big deal about Pacman doing some from Super Flyweight?
The boxers/promoters have always dictated terms - fight weights, gloves, ring size, ref etc etc, why not drugs testing? Manny is happy to dictate fight weights
Its not like the currupt commisions/belts are going to do whats good for the sport either - not saying Floyd is, hes doing whats best for Floyd
But as for Manny's excuses for not taking tests, I have a bridge to sell some people on here

instead he had his next fight in a state that doesn't test for PED's, texas, unless they have reason to suspect. the texans must have really wanted to sell out that cowboys stadium.

As for Manny's PED use, the biggest red flag for me is not taking a test, it reeks of the FloJo situation, who was also never caught and ran away from random drugs testing. Then the fact Pacquaio's lawyers asked if there was a positive test if it could be hushed up for penalty monies
Then combine that with increases in stamina/power/chin/speed, ridiculous low bodyfat levels, going from 112-147, which in fairness is only 122-150 over 13years as Manny was drained at those low weights.
Does this look natural? (I've suspected him from 126-130, but he could just have great genetics, hard training, great nutrition)

He still hasn't agreed to the Olympic random testing though has he, it looks very suspicious for the PacMan.

yeah he still basically hasn't agreed to anything, because mayweather wants it up to the day of the figth, not a fortnight before.

i remmeber, you did suspect manny long before any of this controversy over testing started.
but as for hushing up a potential positive test, isn't that something that tim smith - a pro mayweather writer - either couldn't or wouldn't substantiate?

Because the drug testing is administrated by the local athletic commission. Ring sizes and gloves are negotiable, but they are from established ranges. What Floyd has done, is the equivalent of demanding 22 oz gloves - by totally changing the nature of the testing regime.
Manny cannot force anyone to fight him at any given weight - Oscar agreed to the weight, because he believed he could do the weight safely, and Manny had never fought above 135 but for one fight at the time.

The thing is Random testing should be in place anyway, the testing procedure is a joke and may aswell not be there. Boxing commisions are currupt and in the pockets of promoters anyway, no doubt positive tests come back just to be brushed under the carpet
No Manny cant force anyone to fight him at said weight, just as Floyd can't force Manny to take a test, but just as Manny won't budge on weight, FLoyd won't budge on testing
Now why would anyone who's innocent not take a test?

That could be a point, I'm not sure on the exact source so it could be BS. Like I say I won't point fingers, but it is suspect. If Manny agrees to testing fairplay to him, maybe he is a testiment to hard work and great training/nutritional science
Then again these are the same tests Marion Jones, Dwain Chambers amongst others tested clean for, some PEDs won't show up

You think that boxing is bad, check out the MMA guys, most of them are on growth etc even way down at the lowest level. At least its a level playing field.... ie. they are all on it.
Maybe Mayweather and PAc should both pound as much steroids, urine and whatever else they use these days and then beat the shit out of each other. Then at least its fair.
