look who vitali klitschko is fighting next - albert sosnowski. ok the pole would have beaten audley, but that fight didn't end up happening.

audley's win over sprott was an excellent fight and it ended with a spectacular punch. sky obviously want to cash in audley's name for all it's worth. we have to consider what sky sports want, as this is where most of haye's money is coming from.

haye-wlad talks have collapsed, so haye can look for a lucrative alternative. it doesn't seem like haye, fighting someone like audley. but it'll probably be a hugely successful fight, it might make opponents come to him, and could help negotiations for a klitschko bro to come over here.

haye does talk too much and he does appear silly with the klitschko baiting antics. we have to consider wlad klitschko is in the prime of his life right now. he might not be the man to mess with just yet, especially not in his manor - germany - where he is able to get away with disgusting amounts of grappling. he's even allowed to turn his back on his opponent, and the ref steps in and helps him because it's a K2 promotion. (granted, haye gets away with fouls, but wlad being allowed to do all this jab and grab, makes him just about impossible to beat.)

But there is genuine needle there with Haye - he is not intimated by Haye - they have know each other personally.

Audley will want to put this "fair weather friend" in his place.

Haye is a better fighter - but he is vunerable - and I think Audley nails him.

I suspect Audely will be fired up for this one - and could be the same type of Audley who destroyed Danny Williams in the rematch.

Haye has not managed to secure a fight yet with the Klits, they are notoriously difficult to deal with, so has a marking time fight with the very high profile European champion and former olympic gold medalist, where is the problem in that??
Haye has consistently shown he is willing to go into the lion's den, so how can anyone lose any respect for him??

They are the type of fights where he can slip up in.

The more "marking time" fights he has - the more probality he gets knocked out before he gets to the Klits

And then the fight loses its appeal - and the fighter who beat Haye gets a shot with the Klits

Haye should stop messing about - and get it on now with the Klits

However - I wouldnt mind seeing him fight Audley next - cause I reckon it will be a good build up and shock result.

Coco, as ever, hits the nail on the head. In boxing you have a big fight and then a lesser fight - that's how it works. There isn't a fighter in history whose every fight was big. Only last month that Haye got rid of his mandatory opponent, despite nursing an injury, and now most of you guys are screaming for another mandatory, it seems. Give the guy a break, give him Harrison.

Audley hasn't "appeared" gunshy, he IS gunshy. Even in fights against no danger light-heavyweights he has boxed with an open glove in their face.

Haye has a question mark over his chin, true. But Audley has no question mark. It's bad ! He's been shook to his boots from half shots from cruiserweights.

I'm all for this. Regardless of Audley's faults this is the fight I want to see Haye take aside from the Klitschkos. The division is dire and at least this would get people talking and excited. I'd look forward to this far more than a fight against any of the other heavyweight non-entities. There'll be real needle there and although Haye should sweep him aside Harrison does have talent, reach and can hurt Haye if he catches him.

Personally I think Haye dispatches him pretty easily. Harrison may not be intimidated in the build up but you can bet your life he will be when Haye starts winging in his bombs. It could be Haye-Maccarinelli all over again. Yes Harrison may be able to catch him but even if he does wobble Haye I don't see him taking him out.

I too wouldn`t be that surprised if Harrison Ko`ed Haye ... I favour Haye to win - just think Harrison is more than capable of springing the upset.

Harrison isn`t that much worse than Valuev or Ruiz .. and they are the best Haye has beaten at heavyweight

Terrible fight. Audley is shite, simple as. If either of the Klits fought him, they would be a laughing stock.

Danny Williams was shot to bits by the time Audley faced him, and even then he managed to beat Audley the first time. Danny clearly had zero interest in the rematch, his body language was the same as it was before his latest fight against Chisora, bored, recalcitrant, disinterested.

I know that Haye needs to keep busy, but Audley really is scraping the barrell IMO.

i agree with you. and i think any fighter who pays his dues in the unfashionable, not so lucrative cruiser class deserves to cash it in some, in whatever heavyweight attraction he can find.

however, many ppl will not understand this, especially because of the noise haye had been making about the klitschko brothers.

haye certainly has a good career, can make lots of money and he should go for the big fight at the right time. it's not like the klitschkos were grabbing worldwide headlines in the infancy of their title reigns. they've not had any truly big fights (barring lewis-vitali), american television are indifferent to them and it's only now that they're looking for big fights themselves - on their own terms. haye should do it on his own terms, also. but he should probably tone down the crazy talk a bit, because sadly many international "fans" think he's a frightened fraud.

What my personal gripe about this, should it happen, is not down to whether Harrison is worthy, or down to whether it shows Haye is scared of the Klitschko's - but it is down to the fact that Haye has dismissed Harrison time and time again, before and after the Sprott fight.

Personally, I think its a smoke screen to fuel Klitchsko negotations. Much like these offers team Magee and team Smith are mentioning as their talks have been rumoured to have stalled.

Valuez and Ruiz would have a brilliant chance of stopping Audley imo. You seem to be rating Harrison higher than he actually is.

I have no problem with this fight as long as it means a Klitschko within 2 fights, if Haye were to fight:

Harrison
Adamek/Chageav
Wlad/Vitali

I think that would be a good dance card.

The Harrison fight sells because of the all British angle, the old friends angle and because like it or lump it Audley is the European Champ, a big name, olympic gold medallist and won his last fight with a stunning KO.

Haye beats him all day long however.

Everyone is having a pop at Haye when we all know who difficult the brothers Klit can be to negotiate with. Who knows what may come out of the woodwork soon but if the Klits are asking for options etc then Haye is right to tell them to bugger off. He has a title now and should have more to bring to the table.

And while we are on the subject Wlad and Vitali's recent fights have hardly been against anyone decent have they???

Haye was interviewed on Sky sports post the fight. He completely dismissed it again.

Harrison has lost to Guinn, Rogan, Williams, Sprott and was getting beaten by Sprott again until 'that' punch. He will shit it before he even gets in the ring with Haye.

This would not go two rounds.....

PS I agree with those who feel Haye deserves a gimme or two, and if one of them were against Harrison I'd be happy to see David send him into retirement.

He is appalling, in and out of the ring.

Haye has targeted the best, and I feel he would beat Wlad. The well doesn't run deep in the heavyweight division so he may as well tune-up with a reasonably high profile fight - if it ever happened, which I doubt - against the biggest opponent he could take on domestically - Harrison.

What has Audley done to warrent a title shot? Haye will take him out in 1 round
