Tha'ts a good point about some guys not being at their best at featherweight. I think some people tend to think of Armstrong as one of the very best fighters of all time, (which he was) and just assume that he was the best or almost the best featherweight. If you look at just what he did at featherweight, I think he is borderline top 10; which of course is still pretty good.

I think Pep, Saddler, and Sanchez are the Big 3. After that there are about 15 guys that are relatively close. Vincente Saldivar was mentioned once. He had a great title reign. I wish people would watch some of his fights. He was very impressive. I actually rank him as my #4 featherweight of all time.

Old timers like Johnny Kilbane and Terry McGovern could be in the top 10. So could Baby Arizmendi, Eder Jofre and Sugar Ramos.
