Paul Briggs started boxing professionally at 19. After losing his second fight he took a break of just under three years and concentrated on kickboxing. He was 23 when he started boxing again. Big difference to taking three years out at 30.

its interesting how mundine v argie is 3 stars and briggs v green is only 2...
yes before u say it, i understand the star system and briggs inactivity means according to the boxrec system, the green fight warrants only 2 stars. in reality this is a 4/5 star fight for australian fight fans

How so???
Danny Green was 34 when he took a 1 and half years off, he's doing all right.
Briggs is 33-34. I know about Briggs career as well, I think he took the time off completely...kind of like now and became a DJ...

Briggs will be 35 in August. By the time he fights Green it will be 41 months from his last fight, compared to the 16 months break Green took before coming back at 36 against a warm up opponent. Green has had 6 fights since Briggs took a break.
Rust is a killer.

Troy Ross (who's a ranked CW) also offered to come to OZ. So there are legit guys willing to fight over here, which i believe is one of Danny's peference.
Ross is fighting Cunningham this morning (our time) for the IBF title. Let's see how he comes out of that.
