can't decide what was worse...the ending to the main event, the decision in the last fight, or the size of the crowd :-?

Is Hall related to Alan Hall, the former amateur star?

Cant believe he retired :witzend:

I had it all even, with Hall looking tired and Napa's expierence starting to shine through. Good result for Hall though but I was shocked at Napa

Yeh it was pretty shocking all in all, but I applaud Sky for sticking with FFN and giving a TV slot to small UK boxing events. Yes the card could have been better, but I'd rather they'd shown that last night than shown no boxing at all!

How small was the crowd?Jefferies is a big seller up there and Hall looked to have sold a few. They should sell out a Sports centre.

The Board should have McDonnell up to explain that terrible scoring. That guy was absolutely robbed.

Look at Esham Pickering as a recent example, he's flat now and struggles againts guys who would have been no match for him a few years ago. I can see the same with Napa now, no disrespect to Hall as he isn't experianced and will no doubt even improve now he's British champ but he would not have lived with the Napa of a few years back with the experiance Hall has now. The desire goes when you have a long career, you dont want it to but it does and thats why you get fighters carrying on to long, they battle againts what another part of them is telling themself...If you get what I mean
It's just mad, because he was ahead on all 3 cards by a handy number.

He mustn't have realised.
Yes see what your saying, it just doesn't make sense does it. He probably decided there and then in the ring that he doesn't want it anymore. I remember a situation like it when Michael Gomez boxed Peter McDonagh for the Irish title a few years back, on paper Gomez would have been thought to have won comfortable but McDonagh just seemed to have made him lose heart

There was 915 tickets sold for this show on a real hot friday night this was not to bad.You must remember todays boxing crowd are very different from the pass, they are more like football supporters they come out to follow one boxer and either leave or go to the bar. For the record the hall was set out for 1200 I bet the manager of the site is not moaning about his bar taking and we got a good feed back from the live audeince . No one is more mystified at the why Napa call it a day than FM as Napa was one of his favourites little fighters and he work hard to get him right back in the title mix. All so this was not held in Sunderland is was about 20 miles down the road from The Sunderland turn of.
