I guess bob just wants to be in the limelight that sonny provides and he knows more people watch sonny bills fights then his own...unless of course bob is fighting a popular name otherwise if bob is fighting gary gurr no one cares as oppose to sonny's fight with him.
Bob may be looking for a decent payday before retiring.
hmm??..that must be it...I guess every pro boxer deserves a decent pay check for their hard trainning, family and time away from, bravery and putting their bodies on the line. Hopefully he retires soon though it just looks wrong him boxing.

Hey Big Bob and Dunny Bill, Hoppa is still available on eBay for a stink as reported in today's Manly Daily:
THEY haven’t even got in the ring with him, but already John Hopoate’s potential opponents are running scared.

Initial reports of Hopoate’s sale on eBay appear to be off the mark, with the ex-Sea Eagles winger still up for grabs.

We can reveal, the Queensland-based lunatic who bought the opportunity to fight Hopoate at North Sydney Leagues Club next week has spent all his cash.

Not done there, the next fighter in line was a dummy bidder. The dilemma has left Belrose fight-night organisers no choice but to put the big man back on the market.

``Hoppa’s still up for grabs ... any interested parties can give me a call,’’ Belrose official Martin Cook said on Friday.

Gotta love boxing.
