Apparently Hatton/Nuzhnenko now July 16th - Daws/TBA July 9th

Easy fight to make you would think.

Cant see any other reason other than the obvious I am injured.

Not sure who they will get for Jennings, Watson would be good but have a feeling it might be McIntyre, still another good fight bites the dust but perhaps we might get two decent fights out of it, if people can finally work together.

indeed i was going to get tickets but im away that weekend. i know a few people whos got tickets i wouldnt be surprised if it sells out as its only 3,000 at max the venue

I wouldn't be suprised at all if O'donnell as pulled out as it makes
more sense from a career and his promotional outfits perspective for him
to fight Daws for the British.

I hope that they get a live opponent for Jennings tho

I would be shocked if Mick is not on his home bill even if it is in an exhibition fight. He shifts shed loads of tickets for Guild Hall fights and there would be a lot of long faces if he didn't get in the ring. Anybody remember when he 'fought' Gomez in an exhibition a few years back? I think it was in Wythenshawe.

I remember that was pretty farcical in reality Gomez was doing press ups mid roung?

More gutted for Michael and his followers.

I've worked myself to the ground for 6 weeks and only had 7 pound left to shed when the announcement was made.. No one felt this more than me.. I had 3 weeks to go and this happened..Sky sports should have a poll on which fighters the general boxing fans wanna see the most cos we are watching some poor boxing while some of your top prospects who are really going places can't even get on a show... I know for a fact Frank has the best prospects in boxing in this country and sky need to be backing him!! Tell me when the guy ain't delivered?? It's ridiculous and pisses me right off!!

I fully believe Frank will come out on top and will keep his mantle as the best promoter this country has ever seen!! To the daft comment I read before about him being semi retierd then just look at the shows this year and Upton Park laughs at everything else anyone has tried to do... Also going to stadiums like the echo arena who else is doing that?? All the rest are going to sports centers and other small venues while Frank is going to stadiums trying to get the sport we all love back on the map!!

there can only be up to 3 British stadium big fights per year; the top prospects have to get on those and if possible another 1 or 2 smaller shows (televised for the purses). most boxing fans know who the ones to watch are but without big audiences there's no incentive to box. tony bellew is a proper good box fighter but warren is not going to let him have a go at cleverley; no way, not for 18 months after 1 or the other has a world title around their waist.
