Where exactly does one start with this ill-conceived contradictory mess?

So isn't it a little hypocritical to criticize me as being biased for mainly discussing Irish fighters when English posters mainly discuss English fighter. No?

I dont think Barker is crap. I don't think I have ever said anything like that. I have always contended that there is little to choose between Duddy/Barker/Lee/macklin and that they could all beat each other. However others have contended that Barker was streets ahead of the other three with Duddy and Lee being little more than bums. I do think that Barker fighting Belgacham for the European title was embarrassing and have turned up the volume on him since then but that hardly equates to me disliking Britain or British fighters as some have suggested.

I haven't been slagging off Barker here, but answer your question as to why do I think Macklin beats Barker - quite simple really, Barker struggles with pressure fighters and doesn't seem to work well when his rhythm is disrupted and can not dictate his own pace. Barker has a ropey chin has and been dropped more times then a cheating girlfriend. I cant see Barker being able to hold Macklin off with the jab and if Macklin's hands hold up through the fight I see him dropping Barker heavily after say six rounds, Barker will get up and then be put down again with another two rounds and then be stopped on his feet, exhausted, in the 10th - that's what my crystal ball tells me.

I actually think it would be 75/25 in favour of Macklin with the other most likely outcome being a Barker points victory.

I don't only discuss British fighters pal, and I've now been accused of being a troll twice by Irish posters in a week, despite over 3,000 posts and years of posting on boxing websites!

I didnt say you only discuss British fighters - I said you mainly discuss British fighters. Just like I mainly but not exclusively discuss Irish fighters. But thats makes me biased and you neutral! Right gotcha!!

and who do you hear that off? in an interview the other day he said he cant wait to fight macklin

Maybe Im being in cynical, but all these American-bound Irishmen didn't want anything to do with Barker as he was too dangerous and could derail their American-Irish pay days.

Now those paydays have not materialised they all now turn back to Barker, who has been toiling away collecting the belts on ITV for the main part.

I couldn't care any less for the circumstances, I just want to see a good fight between 2 decent European level fighters.

No, I see Barker outboxing him. I think Barker can use his reach and skill to keep Macklin on the outside, keeping him of the with the jab and backing him up with the right hand before moving and getting out of trouble. Barker on points imo.

If Macklin pulls out of this fight he'll be properly shown up. He's never backward in bigging himself up and having diggs at other boxers. But his words and actions don't always match up. Come on Matt

Macklin/Barker looks like it deffo wont happen so its a case of whos next for a shot or who wants it as Lee is looking at Martinez and Duddy wont be boxing for a few months as he has Chevez tomorrow night so ????????????????
