Bika-Mendy will take place just before the HBO PPV telecast begins but that highlights of the bout would air during the broadcast. However, he said is working on having the fight, along with another undercard match featuring blue-chip junior welterweight prospect Frankie Gomez, shown live as a free preview in the hour preceding the start of the pay-per-view telecast. "We're trying now to secure the free window from the PPV channels," Schaefer said. "Looking good..

that would be awesome but I doubt Main Event would play along with that.

Looks like boxing is finally taking something from the UFC and applying it. It's great marketing to put on some potentially exciting under card fights on the free part of a telecast. It has the potential to draw people who weren't going to pay for the PPV to cough up the cash for the PPV portion.

Recently I have sung the praises of mainevent television for putting on boxing. But for them not to be telecasting this card is an absolute disgrace. I could understand if something was clashing with but there is nothing. Oh well I will have to find a copy !!

There's no live wwe or ufc events scheduled for this Sunday which has cost boxing fans in the past (that is what I was told by Mainevent anyway). They have a chance to put on one of the great cards pf the year and hasnt done so.

Sky ringside looks like showing this card.

Yeah, I checked it out. I'm lucky that the closet pub to me showing it is a small one and a half half trip...

Do we know if Bika will be on the Sky broadcast? If he is on the "free" section of the card in the US will he be shown here at all?

mainevent have stated they are "going through a major upgrade this weekend" which prevents them televising the event !!!

"Boxrec" is being a bit pedantic. One year and one day between fights and they take Bika off the active ratings!

It appears 1 year and 1 day out of the game, allowed Bika to mentally snap inside 1 minute :witzend:
