I know some ppl who were racially abused by Kevin Mitchell fans at the O2
wow i remember reading that half of them were arrested and thrown out in New York during the malinaggi fight, mugabi wrote:Well the racist beery aggresive elements wont support him, even when he wore the Union Jack and said the right things they didn't. The poor 'old hats' got some awful abuse.
I wish Khan would distance himself from this radical element.
There have been as documented incidents of his asian supporters being abused at ringside.
So the new radical crowd of kashmiri youth he has as his suport are the backlash to that. This so called "Khans army" he has embraced are composed of many amateur and pro boxers.I know that much from recognising some of them in the crowd and they do speak in a bizarre wanabee jamaican accent also.

The lou gent fans at the nelson v gent fight were all from streatham and good mates with my uncles(who are mixed race) and it disgusts me who they could shout racist abuse at nelson when they wouldnt dare do it in Streatham!chris s wrote:Saw Crawford Ashley get some at York Hall once, but he shut the tossers up when he flattened Monty Wright. I think it was Johnny Nelson I saw get some nasty stuff at the same venue when he fought Lou Gent.
Ah, I knew someone would find a convoluted way to blame whitey for thismugabi wrote:Well the racist beery aggresive elements wont support him, even when he wore the Union Jack and said the right things they didn't. Or... find a way to accurately point towards a section of a population that causes a problem at a sporting event. On point, boxing is far more racially mixed than the UK as a whole. 92% of people in the UK are white, but I don't think 92% of boxers are white.Spud wrote:
Racism in boxing is no worse or better than anywhere else in society.
How can he, though? There's no way to stop anybody buying a ticket. What can he do? Say "please, any racist fans, don't come to my fight", and they all say "yeah, OK then"?standing8 wrote:It wasn't nice been jewish at the Khan v Salita fight in newcastle.

No it doesn't. In this very thread, people are complaining about Asian vs white, Asian vs Jew. white vs Asian and white vs black.Spud wrote:Say it again - the race card only seems to be pulled one way!!
I don't think Khan has ever done or said anything politically or religiously overt or divisive.1southpaw wrote:i think the fighters also also be carfull what they say and do in public as if they are political or religious then they will attract that sort of crowd ??
