Kell's looked the busines in most of his fights so far, but the thing is he's barely had tough domestic level test yet, let alone stepping up. And now he's facing Jennings who, while potentially a very good marker of where Kell is, has every chance of being rustier than a second-hand Yugo.
We shall see, we shall see...

So, just because Alvarez was buzzed for a moment against Cotto, Brook would easily beat him? Wow, that is great logic, especially considering how one-sided the fight was after the first and how easily Alvarez has destroyed his other opponents (who are better than the guys Brook has been beating). The opposition Brook has beaten so far is too poor to make such outlandish claims.
Jennings will be a nice step up, and if Brook wins, he should fight a top 20/25 opponent. We will really only be able to tell how Brook would fair against top opponents when he fights top opponents or guys who are close to it. I see Jennings as a top 40ish guy. He will test Brook more than his previous opponents have, but a win over Jennings doesn't mean Brook is the genuine article, although it is a step in the right direction.

Brook at 6 is laughable. Brook in the top 15 is laughable. There are fighters ranked in the 30's who have done far more than he has.

his chin isn't suspect iv never seen him wobbled have you? brook would put saul alvarez too sleepp imo, cotto's fat little brother had alvarez badly hurt and he is a lightweight!!!!!!! i see brook stopping jennings in 6 and going onto be a good world chapion
he was down and hurt against a Bulgarian euro-bum the worst of the worst
Was he f*ck.
Couldn't have put it better myself! It was an off-balance, flash knock down - Kell lunged in and missed and got clipped as he leaned over, touched down a-la Naz v Kevin Kelley. and karl david can punch, certainly not 'worst of the worst' (and finally IIRC he's Polish, no Bulgarian - other than that your post is quite accurate)
We'll all see what Kell has got when he boxes Jennings. I think the people on here who don't rate him will serve to motivate him to produce a special performance. (by the way, not having a pop at people for not being convinced, he has only had a few fights)
I think that Kell absolutely does have that specialness of the great fighters but, of course, time will tell.
one point, though - the poster who thinks Kell boxes with his hands below his waist - have you ever actually seen him box? kell holds his left reasonably high, certainly higher than Carl Froch and David Haye but they dont get shit, it's just coz he's an ingle fighter.

sometimes its best to just say ... Oops. Forgot about that(when its clear you didn't know about it)
no tony complete oppsite daftlad, i knw he has been dropped before!! so stop assuming ;;-) think it's twice hes been down, maybe im wrong but just becus hes been down doesnbt make his chin dodgy could have been off balance!

I think its all about the way jennings punches- he's a short, compact puncher with good movement. That will give someone who relies on counter punching fits. I think Brook will have his moments early, shooting counters over the top after Jennings has fired off his shots- but Jennings will have too much for him down the strech. Jennings has been hurt before though so he may well have to get through some tricky moments early on but he'll be too persistant and outwork him. I don't think Kell has the dynamicness to pull off his style at top class.
You look at Herol Graham and Johnny Nelson- very long limbed. A young Hamed and a young Ryan Rhodes lacked that long armed style but made up for it by long range punching and clever movement. Once Rhodes was out maneuvered he was struggling. At least until he suddenly became this super veteran he is now.
Kell hasn't got either the long limbs, or the movement to pull this style off at top level I don't feel. I think he gets hit too much and is closer to the static version of Ryan Rhodes then the young explosive one, but he lacks the know how and the confidence of an experienced fighter. Jennings on points.

Kell Brook smashes Matthew Hatton in five, IMO. And probably does the same to Jennings.

Maybe not so early but I do think Brook takes both fighters apart with relative ease - I think the Jennings fight would be easier than the Hatton one though although Hatton v Brook will not happen now.

It'll be interesting to see. He seems a big puncher, and usually in boxing, these things equal out: more often than not, a big puncher will not hold a shot so well.
There are exceptions, and those are the type of fighters that really hit the heights - Tyson, Nas etc
So question is, will Kell prove one of those rare types that has a big punch and an excellent chin? I'd guess odds are he wont.
I'm wondering if Jennings will give him that big a test, considering he's coming off such a devestating defeat - but sometimes these domestic bragging right type fights can lift a boxer to new levels.

Branco and Nuzhnenko both had Hatton hurt early, and Brook is way better than them two.

I am wondering what options Mr W arren has for Brook if indeed we are correct and he takes Jennings apart.

he will more then likely force the wbo to make pacman fight kell with in 120 days but obviously pacquiao will vacate and brook will fight somebody for the vacant title

I think people should bear in mind that Kel has sparred hundreds of rounds with Junior Witter, who is a big, big puncher and not been unduly troubled. He is very strongly built and holds a shot to head and body well.As I've stated before, I have high hopes for him, but can appreciate that people are not always convinced by prospects until they see them tested.I hope that is the case here, and not that people just want to see him fail?

The bloke he beat to get to number 6 shouldn't have been in the top 20

I think Brook over-rates himself, but also that Jennings is over-rated. Jennings defence just isn“t that good and he himself has said that he can get caught with silly shots. This coupled with Jennings age and lack of competitive fights will (IMO) make him a sitting duck for Brooks
heavy shots and I see it being over before halfway.

I see Kell Brook as the next star of British boxing, if he can remain dedicated and not injured. He's Special!
