Collins was an asset to Boxrec. Whatever you want to argue he did have plenty of boxing knowledge. Bring him back.

And I should have at least a seventeen inch c0ck, but it didn't happen. Neither did the title of this ridiculous topic. The only 2 fights on there you have a possible argument about are Norton II and Young. Most of the other fights are jokes to even bring up. Spinks II, Frazier II, Shavers, Bugner, and Evangelista weren't really even close enough to argue. I have never heard a person say they thought Frazier won the 2nd fight.

As far as Frazier III...it was a TKO.

I guess I can claim to have beaten Ali too.

As requested by others on here, how about the poster of the topic actually defends the argument?

He didn't know who Kid Azteca was. Had never heard of him

As did I, actually. He changed quite drastically & swiftly some time back, though. BoxBuzz recently told me it's happened before with him. That, & a certain other incident make me wonder about his mental fragility (& that's not a veiled dig, but a genuine statement). Fear not, though --- he is back after an extended absence. He got himself kicked.
Buzz is many things, but I doubt he would talk behind another posters back. Especially to someone like you ie the least-liked poster on here.

I may be wrong.

Perhaps Buzz wants to add his thoughts.

PS Don't send me any more PM's unless you want me to post them in the forum.

Your hero granberry said that. He said many things. Most of which bordered on the ridiculous. Crikey, he even said that he liked your PMs! (That was probably true, as you put a lot of spite and bile into your PM's, Irene, and gran could relate to that.)

:D

1. Buzz said that publicly, in the forum. He wasn't talking behind your back.

2. I don't think you're in any position to threaten to divulge PM's, mate --- I still have the ones you sent me...& lest we forget, it seldom gets more embarrassing than that. As I say, word to the wise & all

For a fellow who once gave me near-obsessive criticism for the name, "Goodnight, Irene" labelling it womanly, Darling is certainly an...interesting choice :)

Did the 2 of you have a secret romance via PM or something? This is the worst pissing match I have ever seen. Just post them already since you are both daring each other to. It could be more entertaining than reading about how Ali lost 17 times

Mental state is an interesting topic, however I wouldn't accuse collins of instability. He is simply a willful dolt. And does just what he wishes, when and where he wishes, and doesn't take much notice of what anyone thinks. My point was at times his willfulness is more accepted and other times it aint. So it's not so much him that changes, but the set of common denominators surrounding his various appearances.

He sort of goes in and out of fashion depending on the current prevailing wisdom, economic conditions and barometric pressure.

I do what I want, when I want, with who I want, because I want.

I'm like a force of nature, Buzz. You understand that even if little fat lasses like Irene struggle with the concept.

Kym, that might lead to more problems in here.

I mean, it scares the kids when people actually watch and comment intelligently on fights.

Wasn't Ali - Frazier (3) on the list?

Could you enlighten me on those ones?
I can explain the last one anyways; according to Ali's biography, the second fight with Spinks was mediocre and really, Ali did as much as he did in the first fight---the match was awarded to him only because he appeared to be in control by staying off the ropes.

The fact that Ali won every round, indicates to the careful and detailed reader that Ali probably deserved to lose. Beating on someone so one sidedly is decidedly NOT CRICKET. In addition I'm willing to guess that he probably hit Tommy on several occasions. (Notice the mention of the nose bleed and the "good" right cross.)

Amazingly, it turns out hitting is something still allowed in boxing to this very day.

I completely understand why this fight should be listed as one of his possible losses.

If you read it backwards you'll realise that Clay/Ali was stopped in the second and that Paul Mcartney is buried at Westminster Abbey.

Can't believe you fell for the old read-it-forwards trick. Just another trick marked up for the cult of Ali.

Don't be dissapointed, granberry was a star attraction....no one can emulate the granner! So to come in and mock the unmockable is a difficult thing to do. He had a storm driven passion, demonstrated logic, (though pretzel at best), knowledge steeped in a sort of tortured anger, and a clear and vibrant presentation containing both a sense of mission and focus.

When gran was banned, they broke the mold. Though you could actually smell his mold even over the vast distances of the World Wide Web.
Granberry reached a state of lunacy that would be hard to match.
