Draw.....Guess I was wrong. Fair score. Banbula would have won for sure if it was ten.

A draw!

Seems, all things consider, a fair result.

Banbula only has himself to blame for doing nothing in the first 2 rounds.

Jeffries dominated the firsat 2, Bambula the last 2, and an even middle.

Yes, good scoring. 77/77

I'm surprised that the ref scored it even. I thought it was a fair verdict, but typically the prospects always get the benefit of the doubt. Although I didn't think highly of Jeffries, I didn't think the first blemish on his record would come to someone of this caliber.

Ridiculous excuse from Jaffa and Maloney, total pants.

'we thought it was 6 rounds' - utter shite.

When he was asked "What do you need to work on?"
The obvious answer was "Everything"

I noticed that after round six Jeffries raised his arms and then walked to the referee waiting for his hand to be raised....

Hmm nice to see a ref giving a fair decision i thought banbula just nicked it but punch stats only had 3 punches in it.
worrying the way Jeffries staggered after the interveiw.

ffs I've had enough of this......injured my bicep, only two weeks to train, only meant to be a 6 rounder, Well if you're injured, don't fight. As for the rounds, that just sounds like a shambles, but it's not like he's in there with Tyson.

Not really, I've yet to be wowed by him as a pro. He looks solid but lacks the X factor several of the other Olympians have.

Just on the six rounds, looking back through the notes on the bout on Boxrec it was always scheduled to be an 8 rounder, since it was inserted 3 weeks ago

Jeffries barely beat King. I am not sure why they decided to step him up against Banbula when he has been struggling against lesser opposition.

I guess they (and I to some degree) thought the King fight was an off night for Jeffries.

Didn't Maloney say they asked for the change from 8 to 6 on thursday. Looks like stamina could be a real issue with Jeffries, gassed after 6 fairly even paced rounds.

Jeffries corner want shooting, they where an absolute joke, he had an awful round and the dialogue went, 'come on, look at me Tony, f**cking come on' whats all that about? how about some advice? John Rawling said that Bobby Rimmer was in his corner, was that Rimmer? I could well be wrong but it didnt look like him to me. And they done a shit job on the cut.

In 8 rounds rather than 6 King would have had him.

Bambula beat his ass tonight, no two ways about it.

He just doesn't have it, simple as that - they were straight in with the excuses.

A top prospect (supposedly) ought to be able to beat a goodish journeyman over anything up to ten rounds - the first three were at a low pace anyway.

Thought that myself about the lack of advice. Shambles all round from Maloney, Jeffries, Rimmer and as you say the cutman.

I don't get that though. Bout lengths are changed at the last minute regularly. I'm sure there was a fight on a Hatton card this year at the very end of the night that was trimmed in length from 6 to 4.

you would of give i banbula by one? the big idiot didnt throw a punch in anger in the first four which in my boxing book gives jaff the first four soo if you all belive that banbula clearly won the last four then you should take a long look at yourself.. and before u give it the old i am biased bullsh*t i think jaffa boxed poor tonight and the cut and misunderstanding of the fight length added more to the situation but how some of you can say banbula won is beyond me!!

Jeffries didn't throw much more over the first 4 than Banbula which meant they were all rather Close, and you could make a serious case for a 10-8 final round where Jeffries did feck all, was staggered and out on his feet in the end

He unquestionbly won the last 2 rounds, most people would give Jeffries the first 2.

The rounds 3 and 4 were quite even, Banbula just edging them perhaps, and 5 and 6 Jeffries seemed to have an advantage to me.

So, yes, logcial that it could have gone either way (or been a draw.)

We say it becaue we are looking at it unbiased and not as a fan or a mate of either fighter.

Dont worry too much draw was a good result and punch stats only had banbula landing fout mare than yr guy so its not all bad.

People have bad nights boxers included coming on here calling boxers idiots doesnt make your version hold any more water in fact it makes it look like a rant.
