Re: Bika DQed in 1 minute

its all well and good for those blokes as they were active fighters who didn't have problems getting fights!
Mate he had a hard enough time getting a meaningful fight as it was. To get another one I felt he needed a big win, not a DQ loss. A hiccup indeed.I appreciate other fighters have had DQ's on their records, but most of these guys were active, thats how they kept their careers progressing. I hope his management can get him a big name opponent or persuade Mendy to give him a rematch.Brute wrote:Go through the list of fighters and see how many champions had a lot of disqualifications on their records. It is not the end of his career, just a hiccup.amwsnw wrote:I havent seen the bout but from all reports here there was no decision other than a dq. This is just bad all round. I cant imagine what Sakio was thinking. To wait so long for a meaningful bout (or any bout for that matter) and then to throw it away like this is just b.llsh.t. I dont know where he goes from here, unless he can get a rematch !! But if he hurt Mendy that quickly why would Mendy want one. very disappointing.

You know this would be interesting at Lt heavy!crusader wrote:Imagine how great fights with Froch or Abraham would be....Bika is never one to back down from a good ole slugfest.
Anyway, Dirrell and Green will most likely be the first fighters eliminated from the Super Six. What are the chances these guys would face Bika? Green was supposed to fight Bika for Taylor's spot, but that fell threw, and Green was given the spot by default. Would he really fancy taking on a fighter like Bika after two straight defeats? Dirrell, even if he loses a competative decision to Ward, will still have a lot of backing and be ranked among the best in the division. Outside Bute, Bika is probably the biggest name in the division not involved in the Super Six.
Also, why not Danny Green vs Bika?? That would be a war.
Sakio would be too small. Keep in mind that RJJ is still rated number 11 light heavy by Boxrec.razor7 wrote:Bika would be too much of a "live" opponent for Green. A shame but probably the reality of the situation
