Yea i think what he realizes is he can pick up a few million in next few fights and then go for one of them , witch is probably the more mature thing to do financialy cause if he gets beat of one of them good and proper then he is damaged goods promotions wise for any future fights

that said he could make a hell of a lot of money fighting one of them anyway without the inbetween fights.

i think hell need to come out and answer back to the goading now from Wlad and Vitali

Remeber Enzo Macc was said he was begging and wanting the Haye fight for years - and he got it - but he didnt look like he wanted to be there on the night when the reality sunk in what he had got himself into.

Same is happening with haye now - he shouted and screamed for somehting - and then he got offered out on his words - and he realised he had bitten off more than he could chew.

Of course Haye fans will say - he is just being smart - being clever - playing the game.

But there is no need.

A offer has been made - just sign and get the fight on.

Wlad wants the fight - he is straining at the leash.

All Haye has to do is take him up on his challenge.

I think Wlad has sniffed blood - and senses haye now wants to take a easier route and make easier money with easier defences.

And so Wlad is pouring the pressure on and showing Haye up as a ducking coward.

Cos lets face it - Haye is a coward if he dont take this fight.

Yes Haye is brave fundamentally - as any boxer is.

But a true test - is how you face up to a fight you are expected to lose - Nigel Benn answered that challenge when he fought the likes of Gerald McCllellan etc.

Even Enzo Maccarneelli answered that challenge - as haye was clear favorite to beat him - but he took the fight.

But if haye dont take this Wlad fight next because he is scared off getting beat - then it is cowardly - espcially after all the trash he aimed to try and goad Wlad into the ring in the first place.

yes he should take the fight if Wlad is serious and it can be sorted easily

i wouldnt say Haye was clear favourite against Enzo back then as alot of people thought Haye was drained at weight and Enzo was on decent form ,

i thought haye would win and was class above but seem to recall the bookies and the boxing pundits having it split

its easy to say now that Haye was major favourite as its clear that haye is well above enzos class

Call me horribly confused but I think Haye-Harrison is a decent enough pairing for a voluntary. Take away the WBA title (which is hard, I know) and you have a natural domestic showdown between good guy and bad guy that the man in the street will buy into. Of course we all know that Harrison is going to get poleaxed but as long as he recovers - who cares?

Now, I'm no great sage but I'm sure you'll find somewhere that I said Harrison and Haye would happen quite a while ago.

It isn't really this match that's annoying me. If you're Euro champ, you shouldn't be too far away from some kind of title shot (I know he vacated, I'm just saying).

The point is - and I'm a huge Haye fan, breath of fresh air and all that - you can't legitimately do what he's been doing and escape criticism. It won't bother him, and it certainly won't bother Adam Booth. But they deserve the flak in this instance, I think.

Haye needs to stop the talking, stop the speculating, the calling people out, and just fight ! fight 3 times per year and fight top guys.

Haye to win 8/15 odds on

Enzo to win 9/4 odds against


So hardly 50/50 split - the media were hyping it up - but the bookies odds suggested they expected a Haye win.

Yes - I thought Enzo had a chance based on his improvement in wins against Wayne Braithwaite, etc but it was always a danger Haye was a class above - based on the Mormeck win, etc

Not the odds I remember, and I should know, as I put a bet on it. Bet365 - Haye 10/11, Macca 11/8.

William Hill odds as I am remeber - Haye 8/15 - Enzo 9/4.

However Haye to win in round 2 - a whopping 16/1.

Pretty big shift in odds there, almost too big. PaddyPower also had near enough the same odds; Haye 5/6, Macca 11/8.

I honestly think that Haye is just waiting for the best deal possible for one of two reasons.

1) He intends to get out of the sport early and wants a fat payday to enable this.

2) He knows that whilst he may think he has the beating of either brother, they clearly are both only a single shot away from ending the fight. A loss would pretty much finish his career, as there
isn't really anywhere else to go having won and lost a title, other than a rematch. If he gets blown out by either man, then there's not going to be a rematch.

I think the fight will happen, Haye needs the brothers, and ultimately, he's about the only exciting opponent out there for either of them right now.

Yeah - I basically see it like this.........

Worst case scenario - Haye loses - gets knocked out -spanked - put in his place - he never fights again - but walks away with a big fat multi million pound pension payday. Could be worse. Walking away at 30 years old.

Best case scenario - what you would have hoped David Haye was about - shooting for glory - lays it all on the line. Lands some fast heavy bombs and KO's Wlad - unified Champion - mega star - NO 1 heavyweight in the World - then another huge fight in a grudge match with older brother Vitali.

Reality - Haye likes his status as WBA Champion = wants to milk it for as long as he can - knows he can make money just from being a World Heavyweight Champion. Wants that continue for now - and make money from Dinner shows and Book Signings and Videos and DVDS and apperances - and only fight once a year - just to retain the status of WBA Champion - do the bare minium required - and make easy money - more out of the ring than in it. Which means low risk fights every 9-12 months. Stay away from real dangers to his title (Vitali or Wlad) and continue to sell himself to the Public as World Champion. Maybe cash in against Wlad or Vitali for his very last fight of his career - maybe 18 months from now.

The wait is frustrating. What does Haye think when he wakes up every morning? maybe Wlad should stalk him. If this goes on much longer I will be siding with the Klits.
