And more recently the nutter that was Neil Swain - if I remember rightly he gave Brodie one hell of a fight...and was apparently even livelier outside it when he was roaming in the valleys.
A good source told me that Matt Macklin puts it about in the street in Brum. Seems a bit strange. Maybe he's sensitive to remarks about his Oscar De La Hoya haircut.

It's a poor result but not the end of the world, perhaps Gammar should consider leaving the golden shores of Wales and relocating in England for better sparring? Welsh Heavyweights are few and far between especially decent ones and from what i have seen of Gammar is that he has talent and i hope he does well, get him sparring and get him back in with guy asap to set the record straigh, then lets go from there.

Thanks Chris, well said. No ones should pester anyone to go back anywhere. Its easier to read the thoughts of the boxrec moderator on the site he moderates I would think.

Actually that was me Bennie - Lamphey / Lugh, what the hell.

Whenever I go back to my ex-local near Pembroke I take a look at that list, two weeks ago he was still on it.

Speaking of bad boys outside the ring, I'm pretty sure Gammer has done some 'time' (for GBH?), though Stu can probably confirm this.

Lamphey, not sure - it wouldn't suprise me though.

I'll dig up my old copies of the "Western Telegraph" that will tell me, I suppose its not something Ralph would have advertised when he did his stint (training stint that is) down in tenby.

Incidently, Lamphey did you know that the nightowl in tenby is shut. Thats was one of the gyms of my old club (the main one) "Whitland and Tenby ABC". Do you know whats happened to them, hope their still going, I've got a few scores to settle.

The NightOwl shut, what a shame. Fond memories of that place (though as a nightclub not a gym).
That would easily pass me by as I've been living away from Pembroke for a number of years - though I still get the Western Telegraph. :D
