i'm sure somebody mentioned it on the classic underrated fights thread, but i remember the fight reports saying welch didn't or couldn't do anything vs the size of akinwande.
it seems at one point it was looking good for akinwande, the KO of williams, the WBO title winning fights vs zolkin and welch. he was clearly becoming a viable opponent for lennox lewis. but on the night he was terrible and his career never regained the momentum he had come into the fight with.
That was me. I was taking the piss - it's one of the worst fights I've ever seen.

Here's good clip showing possible KD against Lennox, watching the replays it probably was more of the push on the punch, but i've seen boxers receive a count for less, wouldn't of made a difference to the fight though.

It looked like he hit him with his wrist/forearm, which is not legal, so I have no problems with it not being called. Lewis clearly went down as a result of the shot though.

I heard Henry was bankrupt and living in Florida.
Wonder what he could have achieved if he had either put on a better showing against Lewis, or avoided that McCall right hand for 2 minutes more?

I'd heard Huggin' Henry was sweeping the streets in Trafalga square before Olympics, so close enough.

should you not have put the word fight itself in inverted commas (as well as highlights)?
lots of nelson's and akinwande's 'fights' could be described this way!
