If anything its far more likley Primetime would show it. No TV company will deal with Hennesey and I don't blame them.
try to fit in a bit. we do things different round here. if you're in the know, add to the debate rather than trying to fvck ppl off, plug one promoter and slate the other.
what are you on about?
get the scrambled eggs out of your mouth.

You say I have 'no evidence' to support my article (when even a barely informed reader could clearly see it was a speculative piece anyway, not a factual assertion) yet you are apparently OK to unequivocally state 'there will be no UK TV' as if you are some kind of authority who doesn't need to justify or explain your statements.
If we have this arguement on here people will think I am just slagging you of for some agenda so I have emailed you my response.

guess what......I have no clue who you are.
Thats gutting.
Maybe I should post a picture of myself in my profile surrounded by drunk blokes in an effort to convince other people on a boxing board that I am popular. Oh no I know what would work better! I will pile up thousands of posts on a boxing forum to prove that I have a life and then when someone takes the mickey out of the board I post on I will tell them I don't know who they are!
And now I am cool!
again....I don't know who the you are.

Good one again! Do you get the impression that I know who you are? Because I don't know who or what you are, except someone who spends too much time at his computer making friends for life and crying when someone makes a comment about you.

Seriously, I don't know who you are other than (as was mentioned earlier in the thread) someone who posts on eastside. And as you can gather I'm not someone who thinks incredibly highly of the board there as I posted there donkeys years back. Lot of members but reasoned debate wasn't commonplace.
So do enlighten me. Are you a journo? Someone who works for one of the Promotional groups? A boxer? I'd guess not the latter unless your brand new to the pro scene, but if so best of luck.

"I don't know you! I don't know who you are!"
that and, "I won't talk to you, I'm not letting you in" were said by my dad when the social workers and psychiatrists came for him.
take it easy. if you've seen lots of white vans, in different places, they are not necessarily the same one. all will be OK, do not be afraid.

Well your mention of the photo would make me think you regularly view the ESB board still.
Does it really matter where someone posts. Is Boxrec and ESB the new Bloods and Crips? I am just a fan of boxing that doesn't take what boxing forum I am a member of to seriously.
are you a journo, work for a promoter, boxer or just a loyal member of the T Birds?

If I can get to the point at hand, why no mention of Primetime. I guess they would start as favourites to show this - with their connection with Hennessy and all.
Eurosport holds some kind of rights to Shobox - complicated as to what exactly, but I'm sure they will showcase it on delay at least - had the occasional live show.
I think it's being on a friday might make it tricky for Sky and ITV - I'm actually quite pleased to say that.
My bet is that the card will not hold up. Although, maybe Showtime will be interested in an undefeated heavyweight - like they were with Arreola.

hennesey has had the shobox date for a long time. as long as the fighters get paid there minimum fee theres no real issue. would make sense for hennesey to at least setup a web stream but.....its hennesey
any word on opponents?

Personally I enjoyed Hennessy shows on ITV4. Jothanton Thaxton/Tom Glover, Nathan Cleverly/Danny McIntosh, Darren Barker, John O'Donnell and Tyson Fury. Especially considering it was free and came at a time when there was almost no television coverage on terristrial channels so all credit to him. It's great that Sky have gotten back in to boxing and better again that it has a number of big promoters (Warren, Maloney, Hatton, Hearn) and are staging them on Saturday nights. I still think this leaves room for ITV to stage boxing on a Friday night and Hennessy would be the right man to help drive it. If I were to make a suggestion it would be to bring the smaller promoters on board (Steve Wood, Steve Goodwin, Oliver Harrison etc.) and give them the opportunity to stage some of their bigger cards before a television audience. TV would increase sponsership leading to better cards and better fights. Win win for everyone. With McGuigan on Setanta and Peters on RTE this could bring boxing back to the mainstrem.

The Khans would appear to have royaly screwed the sport by selling their boy's fight to ITV for next to nothing ( yes a crap fight alright, but those nutless monkeys at ITV wouldn't know the difference between a good fight and a bad fight )
Also know as running the product into the ground.
After paying £4.99 for a world title fight, ITV are hardly going to be thrilled when the price suddenly jumps up to £3k, or whatever, for the next one.

Good point - but I suppose it depends on numbers, MW, and I've no idea how many watched Khan-Malignaggi. If it was a canny few, at daft o'clock, that might encourage them.
