every media outlet has said its a ppv and on the 'live on sky' section on sky sports its not listed with the rest of the shows that are on skysports 1, 2 etc

Nathan Cleverly says he'll KO Karo Murat in the first round - just like fellow Welshman Joe Calzaghe did to Mario Veit, in 2001.

mega disappointing but still not the end of the world if frank can get a decent replacement for barker ,maybe barker would vacate and then face the winner.

If your already shelling out for Sky sports mainly for the boxing then yeah you should be bloody angry that you have to pay an extra £15 on top of what your already paying but if you just have a basic Sky or Virgin package without Sky Sports then £15 is pretty good value as long as those 5 fights above take place.

How can I best put this which will not upset anyone - or leave me susceptable to having my assets seized etc etc??


I have decided to release the following statement regarding the matter.

'After careful consideration I have decided not to purchase the 'magnificent seven'. The reason for this is that although I greatly admire the skillset of the likes of Frankie Gavin and Cleverly, and look forward to the only really meaningful matchup on the card in Brook- Jennings- the show lacks any fights or fighters that I consider 'star attraction'. If I were to pay for this marathon domestic boxing production I feel I would be sending the wrong message to Sky's analyst. Paying for domestic boxing is not the direction I think we should go in. Paying for Tyson, Hamed and co is one thing. Paying for a series of largely unproven contenders to take on highly rated but largely unknown opponents just doesn't seem a good idea- especially when I already subscribe to a sports channel which is supposed to show boxing for free. Had the bill being well promoted in terms of making these unknown foreign quantities 'known'- perhaps by matching them against some UK journeyman on a bill over the quiet months then maybe my apetite would have being wetted but unfortunately like the recent Khan shows i'll give it a miss. You don't create PPV stars by hiding them on PPV shows that no-one watches. Not for me anyway'.

I'm pretty sure most people are favoring Cleverly. Still, it will be a great step up.

If Barker two weeks ago he was injured he should have pulled out then. I doubt this fight will happen now.
