What does that mean? A boxer might lose his life if one of his corner hasn't boxed? Come off it. I think it's up to the coach and boxer, and this thread seems to indicate that they are happy enough, so good luck to him.

Dean Powell knows the sport through and through - a top man too!! :TU:

Whilst he gives sound advice and is calm and rational - however there has been times where he has made the trainer look inadequate - some may say that is what he is there for because the fighter needs to win at all costs - problem is there should be only one voice in that corner and that is the trainer - if the trainer aint good enough then there is a problem.

but i will say one thing in dean's favoure he was in my brothers corner a couple of times when he first boxed as a pro and my brother did say that he wrapped his hands very well and he felt like he could punch through walls :TU:
Angleo dundee and brian hughes have next to no experiance with the gloves on but i wouldnt say they have no experiance as trainers would you???

yeah but you aint going to lose your life as a mp ???
Whats being an MP got to do with dundee and hughes?

I remember not so long on this forum there were posts about Dean and how he HARDLY EVER interefered with the main corner work - I think this is proving less and less the case.

I do rate him though, and he deserves the credit - I remember the stick he got when he took over (temporaly) as Khan's coach.
