Yes, he was injured. It was actually quite commendable, but he was still losing.
Hello Dioufy - I like your posts so I am not wishing to be rude, but what Ollie is trying to say that the reason Audley was losing was probably down to the injury and the fact he only had one arm. If Audley would have had to good arms, he wouldn't have been trailing.
I still believe Sprott would've beaten him, injury or not, matey.

So why didn't he then????

"Sprott would have beaten him, injury or no injury", except Sprott DID lose. What on earth kind of logic is that?

Fair enough, mate; there's no need to blow a gasket about it, though. I believed that Sprott would hustle Harrison around, and push him very close. It was a shame Harrison got the injury, but, to me, Sprott had him beat. A 12th KO when you're behind is very couragus, but it can be misleading. Wonderful, out of nowhere punchers can occur at any given time. Take for example, if Harrison didn't land that punch, would you be calling for a rematch with Sprott? I guarantee you wouldn't, because Harrison is a low-level fighter, who has struggled immensely against British-level fighters. The Sprott fight just papered over the cracks, and we will see Harrison knocked out within five rounds. That I'm certain of, and believe me, I am never arrogant with my predictions. The only other time I felt certain of an outcome was Haye/Macca. Harrison is getting beat.

I just don't understand it. Sprott is a nice guy, but he's affectively a journeyman. Barrett was a novice, as was Rogan, with the former there not having fought since the Harrison fight. He struggled against low-level fighters.

Therefore, I understand Harrison showed heart and guts, and won, but what I'm saying is that the nature of them wins has got to be a worry. He's not just struggled against Euro-level fighters, he's struggled against average fighters. Mnay of them with massive physical disadvantages, too.

I don't disagree with any of that, just pointing out the logic of "he would have beaten him no matter what", when he actually lost! :)

The hype surrounding this fight will be overwhelming and I do not deny I will enjoy the build-up and will watch a stream of the fight. However, overall this is a terrible match-up and a damning indictment of the heavyweight division. If you need to rely on a Hail Mary punch to win a vacant euro belt against a domestic trialhorse; what business have you sharing the ring with a holder of one version of the world heavyweight belt? It's all about the money, people know this but, just like a crash site on the motorway, they will feel compelled to have a look.
I think a new kind of moderator is required on Boxrec; one who must keep watch for every instance in which Audley being behind on points against Sprott is mentioned, so as to remind them ONCE AGAIN that there was a very good reason for that.

As much as Audley's critics are loathe to give him any credit for anything, it is only fair that their bias is exposed every time they use this argument.

Danny Williams v Mark Potter = heroic stuff!
Audley Harrison v Michael Sprott = what arm injury?

I hold no bias towards or against Audley. He's an Olympic amateur boxing champion. That earns him lifelong respect (as a sportsman), in my eyes. The fact is, though, as a professional boxer he is amongst the best in his country, not amongst the best in the world. This remains a solid achievement. However, he should not be contesting for a legitmate world title strap. It undermines the credibility of the sport, in my opinion. Haye should annihilate Audley; if he doesn't, he will undoubtedly be regarded as one of the weakest heavyweight champions in history - as will his successor. That all said, the build-up will be entertaining.
Again, I don't disagree with any of that, but it's just the repeatedly bringing up of "but Audley was losing to Sprott" that happens in EVERY mention of this fight, without ANY mention as to WHY he was losing.

I agree Harrison doesn't deserve the shot, but fck me the "he was losing against Sprott" line is getting tiresome.

Thats the beauty of boxing though - a boxer can be outboxed for 11 odd rounds but he can still win the fight which is what Audley did.

No, Haye will crush him with his punching power.

Audley's gonna be very surprised.
