I can't begin to explain how much I had to twist my Missus' arm to get a weekend in Monaco agreed. I even persuaded her to rearrange her fathers 60th birthday celebration for it. Son of a bitch. I sometimes wish my old man had sat me down in front of Ashe v Connors instead of hagler v hearns.

Well given Froch is driving round in a brand new Range Rover etc, let's see how far he and Hennessey are willing to go to make it up to the hardcore loyal fans who are going to be left out of pocket over this fiasco.
If someone from 'Team Froch' is reading this then someone should be PM'ing the likes of Chinny to sort out complimentary tickets for the next fight and a 'meet and greet' with Carl himself.
However, that's assuming that someone a) cares and b) recognises the value of public relations...

To be honest mate my quarrel isn't with Froch at all. I was at the Taylor fight in Foxwoods and Gomez managed to get a copy of the scorecard which I nabbed over there signed by Froch. A really nice touch. Hennesey is a joke though, plain and simple. We have a Bugatti Veyron running on cheap diesel. No communication at all. Even when we do get a mail about tickets we have to call a number in Switzerland to order. What a comedy show. Following Froch is a real pleasure most of the time but that is in spite of his disorganised and out of his depth promoter.

Fair play fella - I'm a fan as well (last show I went to before I left the UK was him against Pascal in Nottingham), but I'm just hugely frustrated for the same reasons you've outlined. Why he's stuck with Hennessey is absolutely beyond me.

Can't say I'm suprised. Had tickets for Froch vs. Inkin, expensive ones too and the rumours started of the pull out, even though Wellington was on here daily posting press releases we couldn't get an answer from Hennessey and like others couldn't get through on the phone.

Never paying top whack and/or travelling to a a Hennessey show again.

Don't think you can blame MH for an injury unless he piggy backed him around Nottingham.

You're clearly blind as if not you'd have seen my earlier posts regarding my scepticism over the 'back injury'. And given your employer's track record with regards to customer service I'd really suggest making yourself scarce at this juncture...

Just for the avoidence of doubt as I have been quite vocal on this thread, it seems that Hennesey needed to get Showtime's sign off before releasing any statements etc and that Sauerland leaked the news early (earlier in fact than the docs confirmation).

I don't doubt that the injury is legit, and I'm still trying to figure out how to make (another) visit to Monaco when it gets rearranged (like the mug I am).

i know how frustrated he is. I pulled my back just stepping out the bath tub 2 days ago and had to miss training. Ridiculous.

There are many insiders saying there is 'allegedly' some dispute between HS and Froch.

As for the super 6 - good in theory but far too vulnerable a format.

Stright elimination knockout tournament seems the only way to go.

most of the things that could go wrong have gone wrong. promoters not budging over terms, fighters pulling out after getting knocked out, and pulling out after injury. now a postponement due to injury. but surely the worst of all is ward and dirrell pretty much refusing to fight one another? i mean, isn't that the biggest jke of all, that showtime have had to send them legal letters.

i don't agree about ward emerging as a genuine p4p talent. he's an american ottke trying to impersonate bernard hopkins. he'd be flirting with DQ defeat if he actually fought outside his hometown.

Has a date been set for Ward/Dirrell? I actually fancy Dirrell in that one.

We shouldn't have to wait too long to see if Froch's injury is legit. The press release says he has to lay off training for 3 weeks so a new date should be set soon. If it isn't or he doesn't go through with the fight for whatever reason then I will start to smell fire.

G0mez has been very quiet on this subject. I hope he can shed some light. If he maintains his silence, it will be deafening.

I think he is sick to the back teeth of having to do part of Hennesey's job for him, ie communicate with the fans
