Any chance Eurosport or anyone can show this.... its a really intriguing fight and Colas has been shown frequently on the channel.

This wont be on TV I am afraid.
Hopefully if Yassine wins we can get his next fight screened.

Could not agree more. Thanks for the comments. We need really competitive fights at smaller hall shows. We also have up and coming Cruiserweight Tony Conquest (5-0) taking on Hari Miles (5-2) and Ryan Barrett taking on a tough Georgian Almin Kovacevic (9-5-1) on the same bill.
We do have also a lot of young prospects who are learning their trade so you cant put everyone in a really hard fight (their managers would not sanction it either).
Hopefully we have got the right balance on this show.

For Harris it would be a drop in class but if Yassine beats Colas it is the right sort of fight for him.

You should try selling a Video / DVD of the bill on Ebay for us country bumpkins who cannot get there. I've noticed there is a MMA promotion doing that now.

Or even an internet broadcast or delayed download? I'm sure some people would happily pay a modest amount. Look at www. gofight live.com for an example of this (I know GFL is classed as spam on this forum but I genuinely think it would be perfect for a promotion like this).

I'm sure a cheaper alternative would be to get a DVD out. I do find it amazing, although can see why promoters are busy people, but promoters often hire a cam-corder man for their own posterity (and for their fighters). Don't see why they cannot duplicate these and sell them.
You can get DVD's lasting 2 hours for a quid or so. Box for 30 p. I would definately pay a £10 for maybe a double DVD of the whole show (assuming it is over 2 hours). You don't even have to make them before the order, so its really a no lose situation.
I'm not sold on Internet broadcasts and would be expecting a better production.
With an internet feed, you would need more costing (I would guess) in terms of production and I would expect an almost TV like promotion - if viewing live.
I had a chat with Paul Boyce about this for the Gammer vs Krence fight - one of the only times a British Heavyweight title fight has not been on TV. He made a massive loss, he had a Camera there - he was more than happy to GIVE duplicate copies to people who requested (he offered me, after originally accepting I said nah its okay) - but he would try selling them on ebay.... I just thought it was madness really.

Steve,
Would just like to echo requests for some kind of modestly-priced legal stream for this fight. I wondered whether you'd tried approaching anyone like SecondsOut to see if they were interested?

I have looked into the costings and it doesnt work. I am in touch with several TV outlets but they wont produce and will only screen which is no use as the cost of production is too high.
Streaming doesnt work unless you are prepared to do it as a loss leader which doesnt fit for me.
I am hoping for our March show we will have some TV coverage but this is dependent on Yassine winning.
The DVDs are filmed by Eric Guy. Anyone can approach him to buy the individual fights or the whole bills. Eric has copyright over these and we cannot sell them. If anyone is interested pm me and I will forward you Erics details.

Time will tell.I made a promise when he committed himself to me and I will keep that promise.
No one has backed him before and he deserves the chance.
He has gone into a training camp in Scotland with trainer Don Charles and Derrick Chisora.
He is giving everything and that is all I ask in return.
December 4th is Judgement Day!

I kind of like the fact that Colas has called this a nothing fight. Although Colas throws a lot of punches and never stops working, I think the fact yass throws punches from awkward angles and toys with his opponent is really going to frustrate the Frenchman.
His out in Scotland training with Chisora which can only be good for him. Also i was very intrigued when he told me that his going to have Colas out of there by the sixth.
Going to be really difficult but I truely hope Yassine comes out of this one good.
People who want live streaming should get down to York Hall You really dont want to miss this one!

I appreciate streaming is a little more technical/costly since it's live, but if someone's filming it for a DVD, there's no reason it can't be distributed online, albeit delayed by a few hours or even a day. After all, you've got the footage, so no loss there. You just need to then find a host. And from the fan's perspective, while a delayed download is not as good as a live stream, it's still better than waiting for a DVD in the post.
Speaking of Paul Boyce, I used to talk with him fairly regularly when covering Gammer for a Welsh newspaper. Nice guy. Is he still involved in boxing somehow? And do you have contact details for him? Wouldn't mind getting back in touch.
