Listened to Steve Bunce's podcast last night, he mentioned that Khan had been losing and the lads picked kept winning, it's not really hard to see why he wasn't picked. How could they turn round and tell lads who were winning trophies and medals you're not going because Amir's brother fancies to go, he'd have been a shoe in by the time the Olympics came around in London, he can't compete for us now can he?

Well like most religious texts are severely ambiguous and contradictory; but most Mulsims agree that intoxication of any kind is not allowed.

In their tiny minds the Khans believe their is some sort of McCracken vendetta, given his association with Froch (plus Hennessy e.g. Thaxton , Murray).

Rob is one of the coolest people in the game. His temperament sets him apart from most and along with his coaching ability, made him first choice to head up the team.

Harooon has taken a pot shot again this evening, stating that beating the Brits was far more important than winning a medal. Hardly endearing to Pakistan.

As I sort of alluded to in my piece, the way the tournament has gone gives the Khans legitimacy to their claims and the mandate to say their piece.

Of course, people with a bit more class not only would let the actions speak for themselves but certainly wouldn't rattle on like they have done.

The GB boxers and selectors should feel embarrassed. Even if the selection was justified, to lose to someone who wasn't deemed good enough at the big event shows a serious lack of bottle or preparation.

I can't go along with that. Haroon has boxed well and beat 2 lads on the squad. Upsets happen in boxing; a count back loss is not like losing by a great margin. It is like Haroon is already a superstar. Good on him for getting up in the medals; but come on; has he got a real grievance or is he is touch spoiled? Tommy Stubbs moved up a weight to fill Yafai's vest following his withdrawal from 48kg up to 51g

Yafai was the youngest ever world champion for great Britian, has meddalled in absolutely every competion against very very stiff competition like Russia, Hungary, Germany, - not the flipping channel islands and and Tongo.

When he withdrew, Haroon was already in Pakistan and had made his declaration to fight for them many months prior.

IF Khalid Yafai was in the team instead of Stubbs, he would have taken out both Selby and Khan.

Yafai is a tidy operator.

That's the fact here, the GB #1 aint even here - and Khan is lucky he aint !

Little Tommy was beat on a count back, Selby was beaten on a countback - there's not a run of KO wins and a gold were talking about, they literally split hairs amongst them.


Also factor this, that in previous meetings Khan has came off worse against them. He's fell lucky with the results and fell lucky with Yafai being injured.
