Thought he made a good point about Roy jones, not directly but in so much as finding "a life after boxing" He does strike me as someone who will be able to leave boxing at the right time and move on to the next thing.

I loved it when he said "What are you talking about?" to Nelson. Normally in an interview that would have been really awkward, but given the quality of what had gone before, oddly, it wasn't.

Top stuff to all involved :TU:

Who cares whether he said killed or kayoed, either way he didnt mean it literally so lets not be so anal about it!Anyway Haye has said alot worse things about him and his brother!P.s regarding the gushing,i thought Johnny nelson was gonna bend over and take one for the team at one point! :OhYes:

He liked David Price i think! You could tell by his comments.the others he wasnt so sure about i dont think. He didnt think alot of dallas's and furys defenses you could tell though!Regarding Larry,im not sure what he thought about him.He was clearly impressed by his physique and punching power but he didnt say much else.

He said KO, if he said KILLED then it would be wrong.

But WLAD ois an intelligent man and would know yourngtsrs are watching.

Its not about being 'anal' its about representing the sport properly. He does that very well.

Haye should take note.

but haye would get killed :!: haye's speed is scary & carl thompson showed how to deal with it & that's to get on top of haye making him move & not to box at his own pace & let him time bombs.

everyone who has mentioned klitschko has been impressed with his manner & he has been very well recieved.

I would be rooting for WLAD against HAYE.

Definitely.

Hopefully Manny Steward can get Tyson to concentrate on fitness & stamina, although knowing Steward, I suspect he'll try & get Fury to be a one punch KO artist & not worry about such things.

Wladmir was class, and he also showed a surprising sense of humour which I didn't know he had. He did a goog job berating HAye....saying, "Devid.....youw ahr a queoward...a leear...". HE sometimes sounds like Borat; I loved it in the press conference when he said "mahn try to kizz me!" Also when he was talking about Chisora kissing Baker..and he said "I do not want him getting too clee-ose....he hee-ave bad breaz".

Thats the thing, the Klitschko's are pretty funny guys when you listen to them! They get alot of hate off some people which i think is undeserved.I understand they're not the most exciting fighters out there but as a fan of the sport i can still respect talent when i see it and they both have that!Wladimir definietly seems the more easy go lucky out of the two whereas Vitali is abit more mean and probably not as chatty as his brother although they're both seem pretty easy to talk to.You have to remember that these guys arent your standard boxers, they came from a middle class background in the ukraine and they both have PHD's,so not your standard boxers.I also loved the part in the interview where Wlad said Boxing is like chess and all about strategy and whilst a pretty obvious analysis,a good one none the less.

I understand the point you're making but to me and to the majority of people with common sense you know that even if did say killed he wouldnt of meant it literally,as hurlock said its just a figure of speech.

That was a great interview.

The fighting doctors are proving to be surprisingly charismatic outside the ring.

I wonder if they've had any media training.

Good post. They will porbably be appreciated when they retire. Main problem, iis that barring Haye they have no real challengers of any significance.

Caught up with the show this morning as have been working - really enjoyable, Wlad behaves like a champion of anything should, with dignity and respect, in my personal life I admire most of all certain people I'm fortunate to be close to and who are solid of the heart, in work I aspire to those who are completely a league apart professionally and in the sport I love more than any other, champions who are proper and at the top, all have critics but all conduct their business professionally.

Top marks indeed, and top marks to Sky for this show - long may it continue.

Got to agree with you.

Wladimir is so dignified & humble.

He is THE man, yet he was the one thanking Adam Smith & Johnny Nelson for having him on their show! :o

Wladmir and Vitali K's father was based in Kazakhstan at the time during career in the Soviet Air Force to which he rose to the rank Colonel but it does not specify what kind of squadron he was commanding, as I guess he was a squadron commander as a Colonel in the Soviet Airforce is the equilvant of Wing Commander with the RAF here in the UK. But I do agree that the Brothers K are terrific role models and ambassadors for the sport that we all love and show the importants to get a good education with their PhDs so they can deal with life after hang up the gloves for the final time whenever it maybe.

Wlad was born in Kazakhstan as it happens.

The last Ringside was absolutely excellent, great having Wlad in for such an indepth interview. Always has interesting things to say. Am loving the show and its been great for boxing fans across the UK to have a weekly show. Hopefully a few casuals have flicked it on and been inspired to check out more boxing. One minor quibble is Johnny Nelson doing the 'presenting' bits. He doesn't look to comfortable with it whereas its what Adam Smith is good at. Don't see why Smith can't do all the presenting with Nelson just talking about the boxing.
