I can imagine there may be a few problems, there's been a lot of rumours flying about it all going to Haye's head - the big man, heavyweight champ of the world, been there, done it etc

He probably thinks he can just turn up, plant one on Audely's chin and Bob's yer uncle....

And he finds himself in a bit of an uncomfortable situation really: not many are taking this fight too seriously, it's a bit like, go on Dave, easy fight, cash in with a gimme if you like, then on to the serious business. Massive pressure - if Aud actually turns up and gives it his best shot - if Haye wins, it's.. so what? But if he loses, he'll look like the biggest mug of all time.
Unthinkable really, and that nightmare thought must flash across his mind every now and then. He's got everything to lose, unlike Audley.

Very funny stuff!
I said that I had heard. People call me and say..."Buncey, can you still get hold of Haye?" I say, 'Yes'. They then say that they are struggling because they are not sure who to call. They then invariably add that they have heard about problems in the camp. I shrug and say two things: "I've heard/seen nothing bad and I can get Haye/Booth all day long."
Just to clear it up.

Adios.

I agree MW and with Haye pretty much any half decent (and I place Audley in that bracket, just) heavyweight stands some kind of chance against him. I don't think he needs a particularly brilliant training camp to beat Audley - just needs to be focused on the night. With Haye's chin, a good training camp isn't a necessity - its the focus on the night thats crucial.

It really does show the lack of star power in the Heavyweight devision - there must be a massive que to fight Haye - but the only money fight for him outside of Wlad and Vitali is Harrison.

I'm not sure about the Haye taking him lightly stuff.

Remember, they have sparred countless rounds together and back when Harrison was riding high during his amateur success so I suspect Haye has sparred with the best Harrison there has been so he will know what he has to offer.

Styill think it's an awful fight and nothing will change my mind on that but I will watch it, thats for sure.

I don't mind admitting I WAS an Audley fan once. I supported him up until the first Williams fight but then he failed to deliver when that fight was there for the taking (as one of his few supporters in the arena that night I felt a tad robbed) and things only got worse really, the chat got tedious and if he had any other name he would have retired 3-4 years ago. He doesn't desrve the shot at all but I will say this, the one time I met him he was an absolute gentleman (was in the MGM Grand prior to Mosley-DLH 2 weigh in, he was walking through the hotel towards the arena whilst chatting on his mobile phone, I shouted out 'Audley' and not only did he stop but he told whoever he was chatting to he would call them back, hung up and stopped for a chat)

I want Haye to win and I think he will win relatively easy too but I must admit Harrison deserves a tip of the hat for still believing he will reach the top in the pro game.

Actually, quite the contrary, I saw a video yesterday of Haye talking about the fight with Audley, and he said he is expecting Audley to bring his A game, and that he is preparing for 12 hard rounds. He said he's watched every single fight of Audley's and is focussing only on what Audley does best, not the worst of him.

Sounds to me like he is completely focussed on the threat his opponent brings. Having seen that, I'm more confident than ever that Haye is going to win this one.

Ok well I haven't seen that, and Haye is smart enough to know he cant take his foot off the pedal, even during his bum of the year campaign. But he must have trouble motivating himself for this one, as very few are taking Aud seriously, even Booth said something like they'd be a laughing stock in they took this one.

He's on a hiding to nothing here, because even if he knocks out Aud in a round everyone will be rolling their eyes and saying what a horrible cynical mismatch this was.

I think Haye is too wound up to not train to his utmost. He looks spiteful and this one is personal.
