Re: What's happened to Anthony Small?

Just a fuel war? Nah your just another victim of bias media. Yeah, do make you kind of right about not throwing tomatoes and waving banners with 'child killer' on it, should think of their relatives and not hurt their feelings as they are only doing a job and what they are instructed to do........Then again we also shouldn't be disgusted what the Nazi's did as they only did the same, a job following out instructions. Is that right? No I dont think so. Understand what your saying about anti-Royalist at Diana's funeral but its a bit of a different emotional levelG0mez wrote:It's a fossil fuel war.Des1 wrote:So do you all feel that the the invasions in the Middle East is right?
However, you dont throw tomatoes and wave banners called child killer at the march of a regiment who's lads have been killed in Afghan, whilst their widows look on.
An anti-Royalist wouldn't wave 'Slag' banners at Diana's funeral would they ?
I'm all for freedom of speech, but there are ways to win support and there are ways to get everyone to despise you. And Anthony Small chose the latter.
The reasons are a seperate topic.
Well I'd be fascinated to learn what you think it is then?Des1 wrote:Just a fuel war? Nah your just another victim of bias media.
If you are talking about just normal Germans fighting for Nazi Germany then I'd agree but I suspect you are comparing British soldiers with the Nazi death squads who went rounding up ethnic groups and exterminating them and if that is the case then you are an eejit as there is no comparison. Then again we also shouldn't be disgusted what the Nazi's did as they only did the same
To us it is, to the Iraqis and the Afghans - its a hostile invasion by a foreign power.G0mez wrote:It's a fossil fuel war.Des1 wrote:So do you all feel that the the invasions in the Middle East is right?
Strange how people would see it like that when you consider that the vast majority of people who are fighting the Taliban are Muslims themselvesCarlos-Wigan wrote:To us it is, to the Iraqis and the Afghans - its a hostile invasion by a foreign power.G0mez wrote:It's a fossil fuel war.Des1 wrote:So do you all feel that the the invasions in the Middle East is right?
Do you think they care what the rationale is anymore than the Poles cared about the
Germans turning up in 1939 for more lebensraum.
As for Anthony Small, look for him to be boxing out of Germany sometime in the future under
the Ahmet Oner banner. You would be suprised how many white people outside the English
speaking world who are only too happy with what is happening to us and the yanks in the
middle east. People certainly don't see it as 'Islam vs the west' in a lot of countries outside
the anglosphere, rather, they see it as two traditonal military powers getting a bit of a kicking off a
load of sandal wearing pesants armed with a stick of semtex and a mobile phone, and they are
pretty happy about it, sad to say.
Personally, I think Anthony Small is an idiot and his actions were uncalled for. But then - do we support
'free speech' or do we not? If we support free speech in this country then Anthony Small has the right
to say what he wants wherever he wants - however much we don't like it.
The mostly working class men and women - quite a few of them I know, who are fighting out in Afghanistan
we have to support because basically - they are us! If others don't feel the same then thats their right to voice it.
You would be suprised (or maybe not) how many people around the world cannot stand the Americans (or rather their foreign policy) or us come to think of it. I remember when US started to bomb Serbia back in 1999 - I was in Moscow at the time - and ordinary Russians stormed to the British and American embassies and near enough tore them down. I had to stay inside for my own safety that week.banjo wrote:

This is a myth. People don't have the right to say what they want. And further, the hypocrisy in fundamentalists using the rights of 'free speech' in the UK to promote an agenda which includes denying people the very right they are using, the subjugation and abuse of women and people with different ideas makes me sick to my stomach.Carlos-Wigan wrote:But then - do we support

Well, it isn't a myth, in this country - we have free speech, and in places like China and Syria - they don't.Ian 'Mr' McNeilly wrote:This is a myth. what does that have to do with Small being an Islamic Fascist?Des1 wrote:So do you all feel that the the invasions in the Middle East is right?

There is a difference in you not agreeing with what Anthony Small says (I don't either for the record - or how he said it) and actually his rights to say what he wants. And it is a moot point what can and can't be said in Saudi Arabia (or wherever...) Small is British and lives here.
This is the country with the most rights in regards free speech - if Anthony Small had done what he did in some town in Texas - he would have got his head blown off - the the culprits would have got away with it.

I’m a leftist anti-fascist who finds the ideology of Islamism repulsive…
Clearly you believe that the oppression of women, homosexuals and the suppression of freedom a good thing.
the response of people such as yourself who would ostensibly believe themselves 'righteous' to Islamism is more worrying than the actual Islamists themselves.
your own racism won't allow you to see Islamists as anything other than brownskinned and so you believe anyone who opposes them MUST be racist or a 'right wing loon'...
did you celebrate on 9/11?

another over-moderated board - just what boxing needs...
there's also a delicious irony in you tryin to have this thread banned when you're also defending smalls right to free speech...sadly the typical actions of a modern 'leftist'...
It is a myth. You can not say what you want in this country. Ah, I see what you're saying. I think the two are inextricably linked though - whoever has control of prime resources such as oil is also hugely influential in terms of world order.Des1 wrote:Control, and World orderDeserter wrote:Well I'd be fascinated to learn what you think it is then?Des1 wrote:Just a fuel war? What infact do you define as an 'Islamist'? Would you define a member of the IRA as an 'Catholicist'? No, I fall into no trap at all, as persecution and attempted control by the West in the East has been going on long before the Iraq invasionsDEKKER87 wrote:what does that have to do with Small being an Islamic Fascist?Des1 wrote:So do you all feel that the the invasions in the Middle East is right?
don't fall into the trap of thinking that the invasion of iraq is the reason that Islamists exist.
