I've got more power, strength and hit a lot harder than your mate Kenny Anderson hoop.... I guarantee you that. :TU:
Based on my opinion. I've never sparred nor boxed him but you've never sparred or boxed me. Nor has Billy Nelson, in your opinion because he believes it then it must be true right?

If he was as big of a puncher as you think then everyone would know he's a puncher. Plus punching aand knocking out journeymen is easier than doing it against kids with winning records and title holders/challengers. That answers your KO% answer from boxrec - Kenny's fought 3 kids with winning records - none of them had won more than 5 fights!
To answer the mutual opponents question, he fought both of them over a year or two after I did. Arguments there for them being softened up.

It doesn't bother me your opinion on my handling of Degale, my argument is your opinion on me and Anderson :TU:
And what opinion is that?, it was you that started talking about Kenny Anderson in this tread I've not once compaired you. I said I thought you lacked the tools to beat Degale, and you started talking about Kenny Anderson someone you clearly have needle with. It was Billy Nelson who stated that Anderson was the biggest puncher at that weight in Britian, not me and I've not once remarked on it.

In another thread I backed Kenny to beat Groves your name wasnt mentioned, so because I think Anderson will beat Groves and I think you will lose to Degale then you now have an argument with me?.

And for someone who had 28 fights before challenging (and in many peoples eyes losing) for the British Title its a bit hypocritical to start shifting through another boxers records dont you think?.

It sounds really quite pathetic to hear a grown man shout on a forum about how strong he is. I honestly hope you beat Degale you might even get to find out who's the strongest between you and Kenny :TU:

I'm swaying on this one, really am..... both on my prediction and whether to go.

The undercard is average, Kell Brook against a no-hoper, Gavin vs Harrison and Bellew vs TBA isn't brilliant.
And we have to pay for it too.

You've blown my post out of context. The shout was Kenny Anderson being the strongest hardest hitting super middleweight bla bla bla, I disagree. Not even putting myself forward, are you forgetting the number one in my division? Froch

Leave it there anyway, don't want to be sounding pathetic, do I :TU:

Well the shout didn't come from me, that you will see if you look back on the posts, it was a few other people who said that Kenny Anderson was this and that all I said was in my opinion he will beat Groves, I didn't compaire him to you, Degale or Froch for that matter.

I think that one of the keys to the fight is the condition Paul Smith comes into the ring in. Degale hasn't really fought anyone who has really punched back yet. Talent wise he has the edge here but we know very little about his ability to take shots back and as the fight goes on and he has to start taking one or two back then we will see what he's made of

smigga has gone the distance a number of times and showed true grit against Quigley. But he will be made to fight in this one at a very high pace. If Smigga's in top shape and coming forward in the second half of the fight then I see a Thompson v Haye scenario potentially.

Very close fight either way. Can't wait!

The ref stopped Degale's last fight when Dilks was not in major trouble and was still defending himself, and that was only in round one. I wouldn't be suprised if Degale throws a couple flashy combos and the ref gets a little over anxious to step in. I could definitely see a stoppage, even if it is not legit.

I don't think Smith will get knocked out as in put on his ass for a ten count, but any stoppage is included in brackets as a knockout on a fighters record, and I think a stoppage is a realistic possibility. Smith is a solid, but very basic fighter, and I think Degale is a great talent who could force a late intervention due to an accumulation of blows.

Smith is better, but honestly, he hasn't done much that would suggest to me he is levels above Dilks. His 29-1 record is flattering. David Banks is arguably his best opponent and it was just two years ago he was losing to the likes of Bendall. Degale has a lot of talent, and I think he will become a world class fighter, if not a world champion some day.

Banks his best opponent. Ffs think before you speak.

Smith Is being dangerously underrated by many. And if by some total miracle degale wins, not a chance it will be via stoppage.

Smith to win by stoppage 7-9th round

A case can be made for other fighters, but I fail to see a name on Smith's record who is much better than Banks. I think a strong case can be made Banks is his best opponent to date. I don't think Smith is being underrated, and several people have said they think it will be close or Smith will win. I'm not sure why you think it is such a one sided matchup. You are obviously very biased if you think Degale needs a miracle to win.

Quigley, Dodson, Jonathan Reid, cello renda, steve bendall etc. All fighters with good records, and title wins. All fighters that hit back, and who can out in pressure. All fighters who have posed questions to smith that degale has not had posed to him. All reasons why smith will win

I'd like to know the rationale for banks being smiths best opponent. It's not being biased, I just don't see a case to be made for degale being a clear favourite based on his time as a pro, opposition faced to date, and the talent he supposedly has (bearing in mind this is a guy who STILL cannot punch correctly).
All factors taken into account I cannot pick anyone other than smith as a favourite going into this fight.

Smith struggled with Banks and Quigley, and Dodson also gave him a tough night. Renda cannot even beat Paul Samuels and Bendall had been knocked out prior to fighting Smith and lost in his next fight after he beat Smith. I think all of those guys are a clear level below Degale in terms of ability. Smith has never been a puncher anyway, so I think your prediction of him scoring a KO is way off. And big lol at Reid. They guy is terrible and has been easily beaten by every non-bum he has faced. He had lost 4 of his last five going into his fight with Smith.

I think the most likely outcome is Degale by decision. Could Smith win? Of course he could! I just think Degale is far more talented and that disparity will make the difference. Your claim that it would be a miracle if Degale won is ridiculous, especially when you consider who has defeated Smith or pushed him very close.

Going into his fight with Smith, Dodson had not beaten a decent fighter in seven years, and in his prior fight, he was knocked out by Quigley. Quigley had beaten nothing but bums, until he defeated Dodson, who like I mentioned, had not done anything of note in years. Quigley also had a only few more fights than Degale has now, and all but one were over weak opponents. Renda loses regularly and is not good enough to beat a guy like Paul Samuels. Reid is really a journeyman who manufactured his record against weak opponents before being easily blown away by the average world champ William Joppy. From that point on he lost time and time again, and had been defeated in 4 of his last 5 when he fought Smith. Check out his record since he started fighting good opponents.

Banks had the best recent resume of any of these guys when he fought Smith. He had scored two wins over the previously unbeaten Elvin Ayala, who went on to last 12 with Arthur Abraham in a world title challenge. He was also coming off a win over then Canadian prospect Paul Clavette, and had lost a relativelycompetative decision to Peter Manfredo. Not a great resume, but at the time Banks fought Smith, he had done more in the last couple years than any of the other Smith opponents that have been mentioned, and a good case can be made he was the best opponent Smith fought. Let's not forget he also gave Smith a good fight and the result was a split decision, so while you seem to have a low opinion of Banks, he was very competitive with Smith.

It's all about opinions at the end of the day. I happen to think smith has had good results against good opposition. Let's not start this thing about if someone knocks someone out then someone else should, it's a crap argument and you know it.
Degale is an unknown quantity simple as that. Is he talented? Yes. Has he had it tough yet? No. I will stick by my bold prediction, and maybe withdraw the miracle statement,
I think I gave put a valid argument across, no one has as yet for degale to won other than the fact he has had 8 fights against opposition who have been made for him, added to the fact he got a bs stoppage against dilks. Degale is the one here who needs to prove it. Because let's face it, it's just his name that has got him to where he is at right now

And Quigley gave Smith a very tough fight didn't he. Degale had far more success in the amateurs than Quigley did, and from what I have seen of him as a pro, he does everything better than him, not to mention he is also bigger. "Bum" is a well known term in boxing parlance, and its meaning is well established. Are you are an etiquette coach now?

Have a good night! :TU:

Itell you one thing is for certain, I don't need educating on fighters records or ettiquette. I just find the term bum demeaning, as if to say a man with limited talent or skills is a bum. That man is brave, valliant and deserves honor and respect.

Good night god bless
