Not meaning to pick on your post, but those who watched it on a stream have no right to complain really.

It's a bit like going back into Tesco and saying "I'd like to complain about this ready meal I nicked from your shop..."

:OhYes: :OhYes: :OhYes:

It was so embarassing I think I'd rather have Bangkok Chickboys show up on my PPV bill than Audley/Haye.

Im really supprised with the reaction on here,

i can understand the casual fans getting sucked in to the hype and then complaining
but people posting on a boxing forum you would assume really should have known better.

I totally agree.

Fair enough, I expected Audley to make a bit more of a go of it, but I can't see how anybody with a half-decent boxing knowledge is surprised by the outcome.

We didn't know, for example, the undercard would only be one live fight.

Enough about the main event which was a complete joke, but surely for £15 we were entitled to see much more than just the Groves fight and a pre-recorded highlight. Seeing old footage again and watching McGuigan and Nelson play on their new gadget was not worth the money period. I suppose with Haye promoting it he wanted to maximise his own profits and a piss poor undercard, Sky thought not worthy of airtime, was one way of doing it.

If Haye was so sure sure of his bet coming in then at least pay for some quality to boost whet he "KNEW" was going to be a quick job on the Fraud. Audley's purse should be withheld, surely giving an honest performance of your skills is a basic contractual requirement is it not?

Having said that, perhaps he did!

Bad taste all round. The WBA shouldn't have allowed it.

The worst thing is I had a 10 to 10 moment where I changed my mind and bought it, I felt I had to watch all the post fight banter to try and claw some money back somehow.

One thing I did notice though was when they interviewed Audley afterwards, he remained sombre throughout, to the point that the interviewer actually said something like 'He's holding back the tears' etc. The second the interview was over someone off camera said something to him and a big smile came across his face and he seemed to be laughing. I thought that was a little odd.

The Sky coverage was poor. McGuigan didn't even know the name of Harrison's trainer. Referred to him as Thel Torrance while the hands were being wrapped. The Mcguigan-Nelson verbal spar was shocking. Take your point about maximising profits mate, but is it not down to sky to say something

Can see what your saying a bit there BC. However, I do partially disagree. Why oh Why didn't Sky want to show the Hall vs Davies bout in full, or the Lincia vs Cora bout - these might not have been PPV worthy bouts or anything.... but they were surely TV worthy bouts. Surely as good as that Danny Williams bout screened live on the Hatton vs Tszyu undercard.

It was a pretty shocking PPV card anyway - am not going to say otherwise... BUT, sky could have made it at least a little better with their scheduling.

That screen thing was a waste of time really.... it had been done on the ringside show. Pretty much word for word the same. I think it is great to see Barry back on TV quite regularly now though - seems to be back with Sky.

I don't know why Hall v Davis was not shown live. It was very poor card.

They should of showed the Licina fight, it was a real cracker going back and forth. Cora gave it a real go but Licina looked quite good in patches. I would like to see him fight Hernandez again
