How can anyone on a forum who is presumably a boxing fan actually be angry at Sky? Are they saying they watched a few interviews and crappy comments from the Sky team and actually believed it over what they should see and know for themselves?! If you are a boxing fan then you should know this was the likely result.

Same if you are a football fan. If Chelsea play a Sunday League outfit it should not matter if what Sky say, you will know what the likely outcome is and can decide whether to buy or not.

Sky are a business and the object of the exercise is to make money so they sold a boxing match as hard as they could to make as much money as possible. It was PPV so the choice was yours, buy it or dont, it is what it is and if you think it is a waste of money DO NOT BUY IT. Do not bitch after the event that you have been conned because you have not been.

The responsibility was in the hands of the viewer to try and work out if it was likely to be competitive. Any boxing fan should have been able to explain it would not be.

Anyway, if you are that bothered about £15 I suggest you get a better bloody job, £15 is eff all!!

Oh and as for this betting "scandal" - do not be so soft. Any sportsperson should be able to bet on THEMSELVES. It is when the result is manipulated or pre-ordained that something illegal has gone on.

Audley was not in on it. The facts were always there, they were who they were, no secrets, nothing hidden and so odds were set based on known facts. Haye felt he could end it in the third round and the bookies set the odds accordingly on their feeling on whether he could win in that round, he decided that was when he was going for it and so bet the money. Audley was not aware of this and did not fall for a betting scam. Haye had to put him down to win.

In effect what happened was he went to a bookmaker and said "I bet you X that I can knock him out in the 3rd" They said, "Well I will give you X odds against that." and he took the bet and did what it without any conspiracy. He said BEFORE the fight that he had a bet, I read that days ago

Simples.
Though your point was perfect until you started taking the p iss out of peoples finances.

You're right - the fight wasn't fixed because no-one took a dive. Muhammad Ali and Naseem Hamed used to call the knockout round all the time - there's no rule against making a prediction on your own match and then backing it with your own money.

Carrying overmatched opponents in the way that Haye did is not without risk. Gary Mason once told me that he carried Tyrell Biggs for a few rounds because of a bet he'd placed. Unfortunately, by the time he reached the round he'd predicted, he was too knackered to finish it and was lucky to win at all.

another thing has happened that has meant im pissed off with sky now !!!!

i started falling asleep after the rigondeax fight as part of the pacman bill , so i decided to sky plus it and watch the rest in the morning ,
i woke up in the morning and i watched the mike jones fight (looking forward to him vs brook by the way , should be a tasty fight ) but then the sky plus recording ended during round 3 of pacman fight , right pissed me off , so i looked on sky sports and saw there was 30 minuttes left of the repeat , i watched that and it showed an undercard fight before finishing (the pacman fight was obviously on first ) , ive still therfor not seen the fight but the show ended showing pacman holding a title belt , so i of course now know who won without knowing anything about the fight .

Sky have pissed me off bad , ruined what could have been a goood weekend of boxing .

Just looking forward to Froch v Abraham now .

Angry at Sky for showing just one other fight live, edited highlights of just one other fight and a load of repetitious padding - YES!
Nah, I'd be angry at Sky for the other £40+ I have to shell out to have the right to spend £15 on this. Thats the big problem - the only events that should ever be PPV on an already pay platform are the genuine megafights, of which Floyd-vs-Pacman is the only current contender.

as with all Sky PPVs i assessed if the show was going to provide decent value for money and decided not to buy it and watch it by other means.
same reason i didn't buy any of the khan ppv's or hatton's comeback fight at the city of manchester.

however, i did buy the last 2 haye ppv's and the recent magnificent 7 show, and will probably splash out for the warren ppv in december.

still, i think boxing fans have the right to be angry about how sky built up this blatant mismatch to con the casual viewers out of 15 quid and in the process possibly lose lots of potential new fans, making our sport seem like a complete joke.

I actually wanted to watch the fight right from when it was first announced. I am sure like everyone else on here we wanted David Haye to fight someone else ie the Brothers K rather than Audley Harrison, but for one reason or another that has not happened (yet!!) but I do hope it does though as it will smash the Pay per View records. Do I feel that I got value for money in watching the fight, in all honesty compared to the Magnificent 7 bill that allegedly put together brilliant at the LG Arena in Birmingham, I had to say no, do I feel ripped, to some extent yes, I would have like to seen another 2 or 3 fight being shown live to justify the £15 fee that I coughed him in order to watch the fight, but the quality of the coverage and the punditry from 3 former World Champions in Lennox Lewis, Johnny Nelson and Barry McGuigan could not be faulted at all in my opinion.

I actually enjoyed the debates actually as they were really bouncing off each other's points that they were mentioning and being really passsionate and using the technology which is sometimes better than just sitting around talking in a studio in my opinon. But then again it is just personal preference.

The ironic thing is that later that night, they showed the best fighter in the world in a decent matchup on their standard Sky Sports channel, yet a joke fight involving one of the most discredited fighters of the last decade is on their Box Office channel!

Listen people on here are not so much peed off about Harrison, but the lack of undercard action being shown in favour of some weak ass debates being shown in the studio. boxing fans want action not soundbites.

Anyway, if you are that bothered about £15 I suggest you get a better bloody job, £15 is eff all!!

15 quid isnt eff all you mug...if its eff all I will PM you my address and and you can send me a cheque for 15 quid..

Haye - Harrison made a ton of cash.

From what we heard, Moore- Rhodes lost money and nearly bankrupted FTM.

fvck me something is wrong. i speak as someone who went to Moore - Rhodes and refused to pay for this weekend's prcoeedings, by the way.
