I think Audley has shown he doesn't mind taking on anyone - when convinced by the yes men, punch bag sparring partners and working the bag/pads. So I think its wrong to say Audley won't have the balls to fight Hide.

However, he will be petrified when he realises these people who he shares the ring with, punch bag. It doesn't matter if its a prime Tyson or a feather fisted Midget, its the punches (or even the threat of them) that scares him, and I don't think he has sleepless nights before hand worrying about them, its very rare to see a fighter with such a long career but scared of taking shots - he surely must realise now what the game entails, but I honestly believe he focuses so much on technique and little things, and for the most part his fear has not cost him, that its not a conscious thing.... its just his reaction.

Having watched the fight a few times now..... it doesn't get any better. Count how many times Haye FEINTS (when way out of range) and Audley still blinks, backs off and covers up. Its cringeworthy and thats why it was so apparent that Haye knew Audley so well... and yep, he could have stopped him at any point.

People will continue to want to see Audley fight - they want a replica of the first Sprott fight. Haye didn't supply that.

Why one earth did you pay 60 quid to watch a fight that you knew wasn't going to be competitive? Does that make you a bigger sucker than me? :shame:

not really i go most boxing shows i can go ,haye v harrioson wasnt even close to being the worse show ive attended, plus i was looking forward to the hall v davies fight and anderson v groves fights

We didn't buy into the hype, but for boxing fans surely landing one punch in three rounds in a world title fight is unacceptable?

A lot of people on here had Harrison winning this and still want to see him carry on. Fair enough, entitled to your opinion.

Some people believe Westlife are better than the Beatles..... :0)

I personally did not buy into the hype, like many on here I thought it should never have gone ahead in the first place. It was even worse than I imagined and I can't believe people are already talking about his next fight, six days after that capitulation.

He made Bruce Seldon look like William Wallace

Indeed!

You would think he be shamed into retiring - Oh no - you can't shut the mans mouth up for a week after being the active participant of the worst title challenge in the history of boxing. If that was anybody with any dignity - they would be hiding away somewhere for a few months - this prat though is now talking about not being hurt and his destiny.

Rafeal Loveda and Pete Rademacher both fought for the world title whilst being 0-0-0 (O Ko's) still put up more of a fight than Audley.

Audley should get hold of Floyd Pattersons fake glasses and moustache and have a plastic surgeon superglue it on his face permemantly. :TU:

You didn't pay what you did to watch two British and Commonwealth title fights though did you?

It is nowhere near the worst show. Thats is down to the sad state of boxing in the UK I am afraid.

love it................You know you are talking about real total and utter dross when people start dredging up Seldon comparisons from 15 years ago. Sadly though this is spot on. I think the BBBoC should get Harrison in and throw the book at him and take his licence from him. If he did that in an exam to actually gain a professional licence in the first place he'd get refused, yet he's done it loads of times. He just serves up sh*t EVERY time he gets in the ring. Take it off him and close the door behind him.

Audley is a khazi...he can't help it, always has been always will be. He needs to take his money and go and do something that doesn't make him shit himself and stop disgracing the sport

harsh but true. If the BBBoC had any guts they'd halve his pay and take away his licence. But being as they didn't actually pay him I don't know how that would work.....in any case, if his wages were taken away what would be to stop Hayemaker just paying him on the sly??

All jokes aside Harrison V Valuev would be a half decent fight and i'd like to see him batter Fury, which he would. I also think price would loose.

Harrision needs to fight someone who isnt explosive, hard hitting, or a fast starter, valuev would plod about jabbing giving time for harrison time to land his left. Fury is well shit, and price is green.

The other problem with harrision is he needs to be tagged a few times with light shots before he shakes off his stage fright and comes into the fight a bit more.

I honestly think he would have looked better against one of the klitschkos, they can make any fight last 8 rounds.

I love your optimism.

How does Audley Harrison manage to convince ANYBODY that he is anything other than useless? :oo

I wish I had his mind control powers.

Me too.

Would like to see him fight (by fight I mean stand there, and be a punchbag) any of the prospects.

Sort of higher quality Matthew Ellis.

I was thinking that after I posted my comparison up - Zelenoff not only went forward more and landed more shots - but was paid a thousand dollars to Harrisons 1 million pounds plus - puts Audley's shite performance into perspective.

people are too quick to jump on the audley harrison lynch mob wagon. At the end of the danny Williams lasted 8 rounds against vitali. The same danny williams that put on a dismal perfomance against Chisora, has been knocked out 5 times, a guy who struggled against mcdermott and lost to carl baker. Won how many fights by split decision and was obliterated by Harrison.

I dont see that many people critisising him.

At the end of the day the guy didnt go 8 rounds with vitali because he was good, he went 8 rounds because the take 8 rounds to wear people down. Valuev isnt a big puncher, fury is crap, and price is too green. So i dont think im being optimistic.

the difference between danny williams and harrison is simple, danny always gives 100 percent win or lose, audley doesnt and thats what people are pissed off about king finn

Its not like the guy cant be bothered - he just has no killer instinct. People liked frank bruno and he let alot of fights slip out of his hands for no good reason. The fact is people in this country like to see people fail when they've acheived something - everyone wants to see poeple fall from grace, same happened with amir khan as soon as he truned pro half the boxing fans wanted to see him loose. Degales first fights - 90% of the crowd were ready to hang him.

As for danny williams 100% of sod all is still sod all. If he had won an olympic gold, had the same media attention - then gone on to have the career he's had, he'd be a hated man too.

Its nothing personal against Audley Harrison, but he is simply bad for british boxing. He drags the sport into disrepute with his performances, he really does.

Harrison shouldnt be allowed to fight.

i'm not suprised he will carry on and im sure there are some fights for him, i doubt he could fill the MEN next fight but im sure he could fill the Doncaster Dome.

To be honest I would like to see him with someone who is one par with him, im not sure who but if he fights someone like Herbie Hide say I think I would shell out around £30 to see the fight, on condition the undercard was reasonable.
if he fought one of the klits i'd give him a good chance tbh....i think their style would suit him....no joke.

Its all about levels and styles - Haye harrison was good for british boxing even with that peformance. Put Harrison in a ring against someone with lesser skills, punch power and lots of heart and its a good match up. Slow paced fighters with lesser punch power would also be good match ups.

Guys who beat up / rape women and cheat bring the sport into disrepute not guys who freeze. The guy trained his best and when it came to it just didnt have the balls that doesnt make him the lucifer of boxing.

The difference between Fraudley and Williams, is that one speaks a lot of shit, whilst the other doesn't.

People who talk the big fight but constantly fvck it up, are going to get slated. Surely even you can see that, Kingfinn?

Spot on.

It's not about losing, it's about how you lose.

All Parcel Force's losses have been either embarrassing (through lack of effort), avoidable or both.

Spot on Stu. When I first saw Audley box live I knew he wasn't cut out for the pro game. I mean the guy looked like a rabbit in headlights when Coleman Barrat (no disrespect to him) so much as thought about throwing a jab at him.

Audley was suited to the Amateurs and probably should never have turned pro. But who's going to turn down a million pounds (especially when you have so much self belief).
