Of course and Manny has been convicted of being a drug cheat hasen't he ? I think it was judge Mayweather who tried and sentenced him. There was no proof of course just daft guess work and slander but hey who cares.
Are you really running with this today ? that Amir has to be a drug cheat after his best win. I think you should have a moment.
Ridiculous isn't it. Saying that 'putting just over a stone on in 18 months is super natural' is ridiculous too. Pacquiao has gone from weighing 130 at the weigh in to weighing 144-145 at the weigh in. Even for a guy of 5ft6 I see nothing out of the ordinary there, especially when you consider he would have cut weight to make 130.
So name another fighter in the modern era who's gone up through the weights that quickly?

Please make yourself more familiar with Pacquiao's weigh-in weight vs ring weight before asking any further questions.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ebajdjx2 ... re=related Heres another interview by conte where he says its very suspicious!People can give me grief for my views but this is a guy who genuinely knows what he's talking about and helped olympic champions beat drug tests over and over again!

So your proof is convicted criminal and bullshitter Victor Conte saying that maybe Manny and Floyd might be on drugs. Thats it seriously ?
This thread has to be a wind up.

But he has absolutely 0% evidence. So he's no better of a judge than you or me.
He's a guy that worked with mosley and multiple olympic champion Marion jones both who beat the drug tests multiple times!

And that gives him evidence that doesn't exist? Behave.
No,however i think he knows what he's talking about more than me or you or anyone on this thread for that matter!

To be fair is he actually going up through the weights? Yeah sure he fought a light middleweight, however he didnt weigh in at light middle did he? In fact had the fight been at Welterweight he would have still been inside the limit and I'll take it one further and say had the fight been at light welterweight, I bet he could have shifted those extra few pounds in the days leading up. I dunno exactly how much he has weighed on the night for his fights between being a Super-feather but I'll suggest it isn't anything extraordinary. Joan Guzman is another guy who has gone up in weight comparitively quick, albeit he has taken 3 years to go from 130 to 144 instead of just under 2 like Pac but it's another example.
I obviously respect Conte's opinion however I don't think he actually names names and says 'I think Pacquiao is on steroids' does he. He is simply saying we have steroids in boxing, which we all know because guys like Roy Jones have been caught out and Shane Mosley has admitted on camera to having done it. Ironic I suggest that Mayweather doesn't wanna fight Pacquiao because he suspects steroid use, and yet he fought Shane Mosley who has admitted to steroid use.

Joke thread. Was looking forward to coming on here for once and actually seeing Khan get some much deserved credit off some of the many haters on the forum. Predictably some can still find a reason to question his talent. Have a word with yourself!

No he doesnt say that pacquaio is definietly on steroids or any other PED but he does say its highly suspicious,he also says that PED's would improve your conditioning to the point where you can train like an animal and also recover quickly and he also says that he believes that steroids can improve punch resistance as they could help strengthen the neck and trap muscles which helps you absorb a punch better.I know im not popular for saying what im saying but he is a guy who knows what he's talking about in that area.

I think what's changed is the way Khan has trained. He was still on queer street from that Maidana punch, but he is so darn fit, he could recover. You don't recover from being bandy-legged like that unless you're supremely fit, and Khan is.
Khan, to me, has a totally different body shape now. In the past he had really big shoulders and a wafer thin waist, but now, his physique seems more balanced. I've been reading he's cut down on the weights and focuses more on other types of strength training, and I think it shows.
I don't buy that he was "just caught cold" by Prescott, either. He was caught by many other fighters, too, and simply looked like he had no capacity to take a punch. But Khan's style is so very different now. Long before Prescott I was saying he had not progressed at all in the pro ranks. His style was dreadful, so skittish and jumping in with his chin in the air. He was trading on being significantly bigger or better than his opponents, but he was an accident waiting to happen. He's far better balanced now, and that must also make a difference.
Also, let's not forget, that Prescott punch was right on the button. When you see it in slow motion, you can see it was the perfect hook.
All these things combined, I think, made him take punches better, but, more important, recover from them, too.

I was going to write something similar. Khan's less top-heavy now and he trains like an absolute demon. Him and Pacquiao are awesome in their dedication to training.

He definately knows what he is talking about however I'm saying you can build those muscles quickly by just conventional hard training without steroids. Unfortunately drugs in sport are that rife that whenever someone exceptional comes along such as Pacquiao, Usain Bolt, guys of that ilk the immediate reaction seems to be 'bah steroids.'
Time will tell, but even in this age of shite testing I am one who goes by the innocent until proven guilty side.

Aside from the previous observations (better conditioning & better rehydration), I think that another factor in the durability Khan showed last night was sheer willpower.
He put an awful lot of work into his rehabilitation after that shocking upset to Prescott and has FAR more to lose now than he did then.

I think Khan still has the same chin. It's just that it's a lot tougher to get to it. That was the case for 9 1/2 rounds. He was getting clocked, sure, but not flush, mostly due to his reinforced technique. At least not until he walked into Maidana's bomb. He was basically out on his feet at the time.

He's also two years older. Along with all the training, conditioning, coaching, experience and sparring with the likes of Manny I don't think it's suspicious at all.

What's with you guys? We've just seen one hell of a fight and someone starts a thread full of unfounded, baseless accusations. You sometimes see this on CS but it's a first for The B&I forum. Come on, just give credit where it's due.

As Roach said, give credit for taking the fight and now give credit for winning it.

Easy AND I can name one who put on much more weight, Guillermo Jones.

One of the most rediculous threads I have seen on here. I don't think anyone can claim Amir has the cast iron Oliver McCall chin - he was in some trouble last night. However, maybe just Prescott caught him correctly and cold and the same with Limond. I don't think Gomez had him at sea as some people claimed.
Perhaps its a combination of lots of things - including Khan's improved defence, Khan now being at a weight he is more comfortable at and not being caught cold.
