Is that official? Remembering back, Derry controlled the fight and must have won nearly all of the 8 rounds before the stoppage. Was Dave Parris judging or something?

Everything about his career would be different, including his own perception of good he is, which is a factor not to be underestimated. I thought Simpson won clearly against Smith and he looked slow to get his shots off in that fight! He's a far better fighter than his record and status suggests having been in tough away from home against supposed rising stars in just about every significant fight in his career. People also forget that he's only 27, just two years older than Stephen Smith. Just goes to show the massive part that luck, timing and most importantly ticket sales can have in fighters getting a 'push'.
Simpson was at home and ended up fighting a one-handed Swifty, he should have done better. Swifty by two.

As for the fight, I can't really decide. Lindsay has a nice dig but Simpson is one tough motherfvcker. I feel like Simpson could do the job if he brings the fight to a war. Favour Simpson 52/48.

Top fight. Lindsay on points for me but would not be surprised at all to see Simpson pull an upset. He seems to be punching harder these days and is as tough as nails. Also, he's had some close decisions that could easily gone his way go the other way - right back to the Dazzo Williams fight. I'll be rooting for him. :TU:

2-1 Lyndsey. Had him wobbled a lil bit there. Great fight.

2-2. Smith is relentless. I won't be surprised to see him stop Lyndsey late.

3-1 Simpson

What a fight, both gutsy lads but i thought Simpsons shots did the more damage

3-2 L. But way too close. Could be other way around. Lovely fight.

Yeah, I could go with that I guess.

4-2 JS

He's still dictating the pace and landing more shots using aggression to put ML on the back foot

I've got it 59-56 at half way.

4-3 S - I think he's got L beat.

4-3 JS

ML landed some good shots there on the back foot and for me just knicked the round but Simpson is still the aggressor and landing the better shots overall, he's a true warrior! Doing Scotland proud tonight

Simpson is a real solid pro who has a very deceptive record. I hope he doesn't get another bad decision (if the fight stays as it is)

5-3 S. God, all L's got is that over-the-top right.

79-74 some hard shorts from Lindsay but one punch at a time, too irregular.

Simp is 7-2-on with Bet365.

5-3 JS

Really good fight, I just think Simpson is landing the more effective blows and scoring some beautiful body shots
