http://www.hennessysports.com/news-arch ... [email protected]LONDON (January 10, 2011) - Hennessy Sports are pleased to announce that earlier today in Rome they outbid both allegedly and Double "A" Promotions (Andy Ayling) to stage the highly anticipated all British European Title Super Fight between Darren Barker and Matthew Macklin.
http://www.teampalle.dk/composite-1517.htmI had a verbal telephone row with Warren’s all-around man Andy Ayling the other day about officials or something. Ayling, who has been sacked nine or 10 or 11 times by Frankly Speaking, then went into some harangue about how no American officials could be allowed to officiate Kessler-Calzaghe because I’m the Kessler-Palle agent and I’m a red, white and never blue guy.
Ayling conveniently forgot that good guy Jay Larkin, the ex-Showtime boxing boss, is Warren’s agent. Last time I checked, the Larkin family’s roots were firmly planted among the finest trees in Brooklyn.
I can’t say too much more about Ayling except that he repeatedly tossed a drunken dwarf out of a hotel bar and into a cold and clammy London street back when I was propaganda minister for Don King. It might’ve been after Frank Bruno beat Ollie McCall. I think Ayling also has a bar fight victory over Herve Villachaize and maybe midget wrestlers Sky Low Low and Little Beaver.
He likes to pick on little guys yet he quivers whenever the diminutive but dangerous ex-Warren partner, Fearless Frank Maloney, is about.
Come to think of it, Ayling quite resembles a beaver especially with his Just Enlisted Marine style haircuts. When Andy tells he’s just been bowling he means he just got a haircut. You would think he would take the salad dressing and olive oil out of his hair but he’s far from the brightest lamp in Warren’s library.

Wrong. Only if the public have an appetite for boxing will there be more boxing.damianhucker1 wrote:id say quite the opposite , the more promotors there is the more boxing there is , it has a knock on effect , boosting the popularity of the sport , if the sports more popular then tv companies want it on there channels , more money available to promotor , etc etc etc , i have no problem with how many promotors there is in the slightest , its if they start putting on garbage shows its a problem , but for a small hall promotor (not saying thats what this guy is as i dont know) if they put on poor shows they will go bust wont they .McCannW14 wrote:Who cares.
