For people who are interested in following the champion forum posting "dberry" in his april 17th pro debut, he is fighting a 33 yo Stuart Stokes from Pakenham VIC, formally Revesby NSW.
Yes Dale I did say you were tough and never said you would back out of a fight :shame: only that you liked 4'n'20's in a big way, oh and I may have mentioned that you didnt have much hand speed, and u were easily tagged. But i am sure that has changed with you being 7 years older now.
Anyway i have been as open and honest as i can on this forum

Hmmm, funny how you make all this fuss to disguise the fact that I, at first, called you out, and you have shown a distinct lack of interest. Now that I've agreed to fight your ring in, you still feel the need to hide behind this, your attempt to turn it into a circus on a public media forum. I've given you advice before, along with the many rounds of sparring, always working hard not to drop you, and now, my ever great full little friend, I shall give one last snippet shut up and start training.

By and by the 'friend of a friend ' that you heard I wanted to maybe fight yo through, a few years ago, was promoter Murry Thompson through my trainer Nick Kara, was it not.

It actually was not Murray, i probably would of taken it seriously if he had said that but the person that told me also told me you were way over weight to be even making these statments and laughed along with me!!
Anyway, no harm done, its been a hell of a long time since we moved around, sorry for the circus and creating some interest in a fight that without the circus people probably wont want to watch. If you would like to get in touch you have my number, if you have spoken to Steve about this let me know what his thoughts are.
In my honest opinion, i think this is as fairly and evenly matched as fights come and good for both parties, train hard.
Cheers, Paul.
Also I do remember back in the old sparring days and the advice you did give me during training, and on fight nights. :TU: Cheers.

Well, if we can create a bit of interest in Aussie boxing, then we'll both be winners when we step into the ring. :TU:

All the best.

Kickboxing and amateur boxing background, was Dale Westerman's primary sparing partner until, and inclusive of, his fight with Carl Froch, I've called out former gym mate Paul Bourke, he has reneged and offered up his mate in lieu and I've excepted.

We've highjacked your thread and it appears to have turned into somewhat of a soap opera, and for that I apologize.

Highjacked it alright, but Marks name keeps getting bumped so he would be loving it.
ok Dale, yes you called my out, i never reneged just knew that you will never make the weight possible to fight me. I would be happy to fight you at 79kg even though my last was at 76kg, but you are yet to wake up to yourself and realise that you cannot and will not do it. the sad thing is it IS physically possible, but when people like you have been over weight and obese for so long you have addictions and issues with certain things that make you that way (which is not normal nor healthy and you obviously lack self respect) Lining up fights that you can never go through with, is not going to get you over these things Dale. I would fight you at 79 but you are fvcking dreaming old boy. Stop playing the bullshit 1990's crap because that was forever ago and things change dramatically when your an overweight 40yo. i am active, and never been over 83kg's in the past 5 years. I also know what i takes to be fit for a fight and I know you have not got the drive to train that way. Go and see a dietition and get a personal trainer and start doing it tough and quit the easy rounds on the bag knackers!
And please spare me any more bullshit.
And by the way i spoke to Steve Kerr and is not sure when this show is going to be or when you will be at training next...!@!@!

Good luck mate, you will definitly need it!!

 I trained at Moorabin at 9am this morning dickhead, what did you do? I have plenty of respect, unlike you, hence why I called you out, you want to be the smart arse, but the truth is you would never get in the ring with me because deep down you know I would knock you out. Don't try to belittle me with shit like " Lining up fights that you can never go through with " and " but you are yet to wake up to yourself " to hide behind the fact that you're week as piss, always have been, always will be boy.

Perhaps you should wake up to yourself you disrespectful little prick, you can't hide for ever. I've never once lined up a fight that I haven't gone through with, I've fought with a freshly broken nose, a dislocated shoulder and glandular fever on different occasions so don't talk to me about doing it hard, once again, the reason you would never fight me is you know the outcome already.

Week as piss.

glad you find it amusing Dale. I apoligoze for being so blunt, but seeing this type of scenario over and over again makes you a bit grumpy.
My wife is a PT and see this stuff with new clients all the time, and although she has a good success rate there is some that just dont want to do the hard work to reach their goals. I believe there are too many gym sparrers who could have fought or should have been more active (like yourself) but threw it in the too hard basket.
Anyway i hope you can find some inspiration out of the reality of it all.
Paul.

The only reality here, smart arse, is that you have no idea about me yet you think you can make yourself look more than the small piece of excrement that you are by trying to score points off me with your put downs.

Dale lets be fair you called me out, when you get there or close to it we can talk. No disrespect meant just speaking from what i have seen in the past. I have always had respect for you and the fact that you are very tough and can take a punch but as far as calling me out years ago and again now and then attemp to start training for it?? also i never sid you would intentionally pull out of a fight but if the scales aint right i aint fighting ya which means it wont happen!!
You have also put me down non stop with your no heart no ticker, you will knock me out crap too Dale, so dont fvcking come here and try to make me look like the bad guy!!
By the way I did also train this morning and here is something you can try. this is what my wife and i did this morning!
1. Warm up Padwork x 6 mins, 3o sec changes from straight punches, to uppers, to hooks and repeat. 30 sec break after 3 mins.
2. timed circuit 37 sec on 3 sec changes x 5 laps stations as follows,
Burpees
dips
diamond push ups
weighted step ups
sprints
bicep curls 10 kg dumbells
military press 17.5kg barbell
Back rows left (cable machine)
back rows right

Abwork
Leg lifts x 20 straight leg
knees to elbows (cycling) x 40
bridge (plank) 3 minutes, last minute alternating arms and leg from ground
repeat.
enjoy
I have heaps more of these if you need any. This is just the type of workout i enjoy to do to stay fit.

Patron, i am not actually training for any boxing at the moment so this is just one workout we use to stay lean and maintain a little muscle. This wasnt meant to be a boxing workout, i was just answering a question when i was asked what i did this morning (he was possibly thinking i was lying in bed mastubating) truth be known i had previously already conquered that, and that was coming after the person also refered to me as a "dickhead". But regardless I am always happy to help :TU:
If your not taking the piss, it actually is a little more than a warm up if you work to you max capability. But if i was training for a fight, i would probably use that to finish rather than a warm up, and do a light run, maybe 1-1.5k for warm up, skip with sprints 5mins, some combination pads maybe 4-6 rounds, then do the circuit, and a couple of blow out torture style rounds on the bag, then abwork. It would take about an hour and 10 to complete with rests and stretch.
But it would be different from day to day.
