Just got this off Fightnews, I don't offend easily but this really is some nasty crap that Mayorga is coming out with:

"I want to thank Don King for giving me the opportunity to prove that I am the best welter weight in the world. Next, I want to apologize to any ladies in the room. (Turning to Spinks) I am going to make you my punk bitch and f**k you in the a**' Your father should have been a farmer so he could give you some eggs (a Spanish reference to “balls”) to make sure you get in the ring with me. When I am through with you, I’ll send you to heaven to be with your dead mother' After the fight, I’ll have my two belts over each of my arms, and yours I will be standing on' (To his credit, Spinks looked straight ahead into the audience, expressionless.)

Spinks and his team are might pissed off with this statement. They are hoping that Mayorga will be faced with some punishment, I've got slightly biased views on Spinks, but I hope he does in Ricardo.

Yeah, even though Spinks showed restraint, he was apparently (well, his co-manager said on another forum) tamping afterwards. I have the feeling that the psychological battle as already won. As Bennie said, Spinks is a fighter by his blood and had a tough life - although a skilled boxer, I think the macho will come out and it will be his undoing.

The same thing happend to his uncle against a certain Mr Tyson 14 years ago. Michael Spinks wasn't scarred of Tyson, he went to fight him (big mistake).

I like Mayorga but that's clearly going too far. That's the 2nd time he's brought Spink's mother into it - he should get a fine for talk like that.
He's HBO's golden boy - the suites must've been squirming in their seats at that little speech.
But I think he's going to blow Spinks away quickly.

Wouldn't mind seeing Judah get knocked on his cocky arse again, but I've never heard of his lightweight opponent.

Sorry, oh MightyWarrior.
Rangel is a 3rd level southpaw whose best win is over Jorge Noriega.
(Noriega is Latin Americas Emanuel Augustus Burton equivalent.)
The fight should realy be listed as an exhibition.
But then, it’s sanctioned by the WBO

Shame on you Blue, questioning the credibility of a top professional World sanctioning body like the WBO  8)
