Just watched vera's stoppage of Lee again to ty and see was it a right decision or what and looking at it again it was unbelievable, all the comentaters couldn't believe it either,as Andy landed a cracker just as the referee stopped it,whether Andy would have won or not is anyones guess as both boxers were on their feet and could have gone either way imo.
Roll on March 12th and the start of big things for the winner!!!!

I've never heard Andy complain about it to be honest. His fuel tank looked like it was nearly on empty.

I think it was the timing of the stoppage most people had a problem with rather than Lee being stopped.
Lee lands decent left, Vera lands big right, Lee lands decent left......referee steps in and stops the fight.

Lee did reveal he as suffering with flu after the bout but went ahead with the fight anyway as it was a great chance to impress over in America. He fought quite well in the early stages of that fight, and even as Vera started to land Lee was still getting the better of most rounds for me. I had Lee 5 points up at the time of the stoppage(5 rounds to 1 with Vera knocked down once), had Lee survived that round of course the 7th round would of been 10-8 Vera, but that still leaves Lee 3 points up with 3 to go on my card.

Anyway, not that it matters now. The fight did show up problems in Lee's stamina, whether illness induced or not and it's something that Lee's team have gone about rectifying. The other flaws Lee has that was shown is that he isn't the greatest of inside fighters, isn't great at tying up and probably likes a tear up a bit too much for a fighter with such advantages in height and reach where he'd be better of boxing.

McEwan vs Lee is a great match up, one I'm really looking forward to.
