Good fight for both, I think and I see Canelo winning the fight but having to work hard at it.
Got my tickets, looking forward to it and apparently James Kirkland may have a tune-up fight on the undercard...yes please!

I really dont get why people are saying well done to hatton for taking the fight,he's purely taken it because of the amount he'll make from it not because he wants to prove he's the best welterweight out there!

A bit harsh there, he doesn't have that much to lose but plenty to gain from a good performance. He was well disciplined against Branco and came back from a bad knockdown against Nuzzhenko.
I'm sure he'll give it a proper go against Alvarez.

no all im saying is I dont see why he's getting praised for taking this fight, its not like hatton is a world champion and alvarez is his mandatory, etc and thus he either took the fight or relinquished the belt and fought someone else is!Hatton has taken this fight because alvarez is a marketable fighter in mexico and the u.s and thus matthew will make alot of money for this fight in comparison to most of the other welterweights out there aside from pacquaio and mayweather. If he loses then he's lost to a guy thats being hyped up plus takes home a big purse and if he wins then he's beaten a guy who's getting alot of attention, etc and gets his name out to a big american audience!I dont see why he deserves praise for taking this fight thats all and i think what im saying is very legitimate.

Maybe the people giving him praise envisage him getting annihilated and can't believe he's actually signed on the dotted line

Yep big money. I personally hope he utilises all his skills and gives a good show which I reckon he can based on his last few.

In all honesty i dont think alvarez is as good as people are building him up to be so i think hatton has a better chance than people are giving him

Yeah i think you're right but he does have that bit of excitement about his style which makes you think he could become something special but on the other hand his opponents could be flattering to deceive.
